- Jinvali Water Reservoir - Zhinvali (Jinvali) water reservoir, also known as a lake is located on the Georgian Military Highway. Soviets constructed the dam in the 1980s. As Tbilisi was growing rapidly, there was a need of a new water supply. Government decided that the Aragvi Gorge rich with glacier water was the perfect spot.The city of Zhinvali(Jinvali) had been at the crossroads of the great trading routes. Therefore throughout the history, it was a city of Georgian elite. It was rich with fortresses, towers and palaces. Though most of these had tumbled down to ruins throughout the centuries, territory promised a big archaeological treasure.
Unfortunately, the protests didn’t bother the Soviet Government and they proceeded to flood the area burying centuries of history under 75 meters of water. In the winter times, you can still see a small gem of the old Zhinvali. As the water levels drop, a church once located at a hill overlooking the city, surfaces from underneath the water.

Amazing Tour - The views are so amazing and the tour guide mr giorgi is nice and the driver is good.
Kazbeji tour is a must you will see the amazing mountains, beautiful landscape , village and valley and pretty stone houses.

Fantastic day tour to Kazbegi and Gudauri - Fantastic tour, well organized and curated. Guide was nice, warm, affable and helpful. Commute was nice and comfortable, vehicle was in very good condition. I'd recommend booking through dream tours. Just booked another tour with them to explore the Promethius cave and Canyons later this week.

Good but could be better - The tour shows you the places that they offer but they make you spent more time tasting honey to sell it that in the monastery that is the place to visit.

Not recommended - Intially the bus we sat in was comfortable but they requested two people to move to the other bus. Unfortunately, I volunteered to switch and to my surprise the bus we moved to was not at all comfortable, it had uneasy small seats, an old bus to be exact. The worst part was that my husband wasn't sitting next to me, although while switching I had requested. The lady who made us switch very easily said that's the space we have. I am highly disappointed as they should consider if a couple is going on a six hour trip to a scenic place they would want to sit together not separately ! Also, the tour guide lady was not that loud and their should be a speaker so that people sitting at the back are also able to hear.
