At 9:00am, I will pick you up from your hotel in Tbilisi. We’ll travel along the Georgian Military Highway heading north towards the Russian border. Our first stop will be the Ananuri complex, a former residence of the Argveti Dukes. This complex, featuring churches and towers from the 16th-17th centuries, offers a stunning view of the Jinvali reservoir. We’ll then continue to the meeting point of two small mountain rivers, known for maintaining their distinct colors even after merging. Next, we’ll drive over the Cross Pass and take a short break at the Soviet-era “People’s Friendship” viewpoint, which overlooks a deep gorge in the Caucasus mountain range. In Kazbegi, we’ll proceed to the Gergeti Holy Trinity Church, situated at an altitude of 2170 meters, to enjoy breathtaking views of the Kazbegi glacier. After some walking, we’ll likely be hungry, so we can visit the restaurant at Rooms Hotel, a fantastic spot in Kazbegi. Then, we’ll head back to Tbilisi.

• Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble - The Ananuri Fortress Complex is a feudal-era fortress (16th-18th centuries) near the village of Ananuri. Located in eastern Georgia, in the Dusheti municipality of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, it sits on the historical site of Mtiuleti along the Georgian Military Road, at the beginning of the Jinvali reservoir, 900 meters above sea level.
• Russian Georgian Friendship Monument - The Gudauri Friendship Monument, also known as the Gudauri Panorama or Treaty of Georgievsk Monument, is located 120 km from Tbilisi on the Georgian Military Highway connecting to Russia. The Soviet government built this monument to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Treaty of Georgievsk, signed in 1783.
• Gergeti Trinity Church - The Gergeti Trinity Church is located in the Kazbegi municipality, 1 km from the village of Gergeti, at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. It is the most popular tourist destination in Georgia. The church, with its rich history and stunning location, is emblematic of Georgia—a Christian sanctuary nestled in breathtaking natural surroundings.
• Rooms Hotel Kazbegi - One of the best hotels and restaurants in Stepantsminda, where we can enjoy lunch and take some beautiful photos.
• Sno - After visiting Rooms Hotel Kazbegi, we should head to the nearby village of Sno, where you can see giant face statues (including those of Jesus and several famous Georgians like Shota Rustaveli, Alexander Kazbegi, and Vaja Pshavela). These unique, handmade sculptures by a local artist are a famous viewpoint and an important landmark in the Kazbegi region.
• Tbilisi - After visiting Sno village, we will drive back to Tbilisi, which takes around 3-4 hours.
