An incredible experience... - An incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone. Our guide, Xato, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and accomodating to any specific requests we had. I normally am not a "tour person", and I prefer to experience things myself without any guide. This tour changed my perspective entirely, and made me realise the value of a well informed, prepared, friendly, and professional tour guide. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anybody on the fence about booking it.

Off the tourist track - An excellent overview of some of Georgia's lesser known but historically important sites, including walking up and through typical Soviet built blocks of flats, the disused Architecture Museum which integrated former city water tanks, high on a hill with great views of the city, the horizontal skyscraper now housing the Bank of Georgia, and ending with the Chronicles of Georgia Monument, again high on another hill and overlooking the big lake/reservoir. All of these were enthusiastically shown and explained in relation to Georgian history and current politics by Alex, our guide who was very knowledgeable and patiently answered all our questions. Highly recommended to everyone who wants an insight into Georgian heritage.

Great morning doing something off the grid - Great excursion from start to finish. Now this isn't your typical tour. There are no tourist crowds and you have to like brutalist architecture, and a little bit of adventure. Mostly, it involves touring, often inside and out, some of the remnants of the Soviet era, what is left of it. Old museums, university dormitory buildings, murals and office buildings. All with a story, a well-narrated understanding of what is in front of you. A great way to spend a morning and just a little different from sampling walnut salad and khinkali, or visting crowded monestaries.

Quite a unique and amazing tour - Alex was a great guide! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The stops in this tour are extremely interesting, and it's definitely worth it if you're going to Tbilisi. It's nice to know the more real, day-to-day aspects of the city, know more about the lives of the people and also to trek off the beaten path.

Not your average Tbilisi tour! - Very cool tour, many opportunities to see Tbilisi region from different angles, physically and intellectually. We appreciated Aleks’s knowledge about a wide variety of topics throughout the tour. Comfortable accommodations getting to and fro, and willingness to adjust pace when needed (travelled with retired parents who were able to comfortably sit out the archeology stop). Thank you!

Great tour for architecture fans - Really unique tour away from the typical tourist sights. If you are interested in architecture, social history and the brutalist style this is a great option. My guide Jonah was knowledgeable professional and really easy to chat with through the afternoon. Ana in the office was very helpful with the bookings and helping work around my schedule. Lots of great photos and spots I’d not have found without the tour!

a well designed experience! - what a fulfilling experience! this tour enabled me and my partner to visit places in Tbilisi otherwise we could not be able to by ourselves. the tour so well balanced in terms of sightseeing and actually feeling the brutalist sense of the city. our guide was quite knowledgable and ethusiastic about the areas and he also provided us with really important historical backgrounds, which helped us draw a fuller picture. thanks for this amazing opportunity, we had the chance to connect with Tbilisi and Georgia in a deeper way

Amazing tour, with the best guide - This was an amazing tour. We strongly recommend it. This is the best way to discover unique parts of Tbilisi and do things off the beaten track. Even if you have one day in the city, try to do this tour. It will help you grasp a big part of the city's and the coutry's past and present. Most importantly, Aleksi was an amazing tour guide. He was entusiastic, he gave us the right amount of information, he was there to answer all our questions, he gave us the necessary time to take photos. It was like we were having a tour with a friend, rather than a tour guide.
