Highlights
  • Old Town (Altstadt) Tbilisi - The journey begins at Metro Rustaveli, where we’ll explore a variety of fascinating structures and sites, including those that hosted parades during the communist era. We’ll discover and hear tales about the creators of 19th-century architecture and their efforts to construct and adorn their homes to reflect their societal rank and status. We’ll learn how the grandeur of their entryways served as their ‘calling cards’ and the innovative methods they employed to make these entrances extraordinarily striking. We’ll observe the competitive spirit among neighbors through the buildings they erected, with entrances embellished with cherubim, allegorical female portraits, and diverse landscape murals. Our stroll will take us to the so-called Meidan, which once served multiple purposes. We’ll visit a synagogue, and our final destination will be Leghtakhevi, the birthplace of Tbilisi. This gorge, complete with a waterfall and rich history, promises to leave our guests with unforgettable memories.
