Wonderful tour - This was a wonderful time! Our guide shared so much history with us, in a very engaging way. He was considerate of our comfort, and it felt like visiting with long lost family. We made a few stops all together, visiting rune stones, assembly sites, and a farm that has many remnants of older civilization. Highly recommend

Great informative excursion - We booked this tour online before leaving home. There are many such tours but what attracted us was the convenience of a hotel pick up. Prepare for along day and dress for the weather. Ours was cold and wet. However, the guide was so knowledgeable and never stopped talking! This was great, his history was excellent and the sites we were taken to are so out of the way you would never find them on your own. A coffee/tea and snacks were provided at a lovely farm which hosts yet another historic site. Excellent tour.

Tour around vikings and many other things - A very pleasant and axciting tour around the very old ages of Sweden History, when Sweden was not Sweden but a bunch of families and small towns. The guide man, simply the best one.

What Happened Earlier - An informative introduction to reading ancient Rune Stones. Angus read the inscriptions on a number of stones and showed how the writing is laid out. We saw several Viking sites including a meeting place, a farmstead, and a causeway. It was a treat to go into the countryside north of Stockholm. We had a “fika” at a farmhouse near several of the Viking sites; people have lived in this area for thousands of years

Very interesting all day tour - You certainly get your moneyed worth - 9am til after 6pm All over southern Sweden- dirt roads/cow pastures/churches/towns.runes and runes! Our guide, Urban was informed, passionate and a natural educator- however his accent is still a little thick and takes some focus to stay with. But he is very good and a nice man. I recommend this tour and Urban

Our guide was very nice and... -
Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. We stopped at various spots to see old runes. We also made a stop at a wonderful farm, where we were given delicious homemade rhubarb pie and coffee. The trip concludes in Sig Tuna, before heading back to Stockholm. It's a great 1/2 day trip out of Stockholm to learn some history, see old runes, and hear about the Vikings.

Did not go to Sigtuna. Very disappointing. - The company changed our date to October 6 Sunday and we agreed because we wanted to see Sigtuna regardless of the date. But the guide did not take us to Sigtuna in this tour which was very disappointing. We realized it after the tour was over. Very disappointed.

Disappointing. Although the driver... -
Disappointing. Although the driver and guide were nice people. The guide's explanations of the history were confusing and his English could be better. We were crammed into a hot mini bus. Best part of the day was a lovely Swedish lunch in an old house and the drive through the snow covered villages at the end of the tour. The tour promoted Sigtuna - a walk in the town etc, but that didn't even happen!
Pity - I was looking forward to visiting Sigtuna the most.

Canceled on me two days before my trip - As with my other review for STOEX, I once again encountered a cancellation with no explanation from this company. When the tour from my other review was canceled, I booked this one halfheartedly as the only viable substitute on Viator. Two days before I was set to leave for Stockholm, they canceled with no explanation, merely telling me they "hope I can make the [day after]." No, actually, I am flying back to another continent the day after. So, no, I can't do this tour some other day. I have booked tours through Viator and directly with tour companies all over the world. Never have I encountered such poor customer service as STOEX. The worst part was, they didn't even issue a refund for this last-minute cancellation. I had to demand one from them, and when I still didn't get a response, I had to cancel it myself on Viator (luckily, I still had one day left to cancel on Viator for a full refund). Never book with STOEX.
