Embark on an incredibly picturesque jet boat ride, where you will pass actual filming locations from “Lord of the Rings” on your way to the mesmerizing Lake Manapouri. While cruising down the river, keep an eye out for rainbow and brown trout. The journey brims with breathtaking views at every turn, blending a dash of adrenaline with abundant natural beauty. When you reach Lake Manapouri, take a moment to appreciate the tranquil environment, far from the crowd of boats.

Your adventure on a part of the Kepler Track will start around 12:00 pm after you get off the boat.

From there, you’ll set off on a calm, guided walk through impressive Beech and towering Rimu trees. Our guide will let you in on the secrets of the native flora and bird species; look out for Bellbirds, Tuis, and friendly Fantails among others. You’ll want to keep your camera at the ready in case any Tomtits, Finches, and Robins make an appearance.

The walk comes to a conclusion at the vast suspension bridge at Rainbow Reach, where transport stands ready to ferry you back to Te Anau.
