Well done Michaela - I'm posting this to thank Michaela who was our driver and guide to Milford Sound from Queenstown on 9/2/25. It was a full day for us, pick up from hotel 6.30 back to Queenstown for 19.45 but Milford Sound Cruise was beautiful and well worth the trip. The coach was very comfy and not crowed, take your flight neck supports, and we did get a few naps in on the way back, trip out flew by with Michaela picking some good stops for photo opps and her commentary. Trip back felt longer as we only stopped for a toilet break, but we were all getting tired and only wanted to get back as quick as possible, which Michaela achieved admirably. A long days driving and entertaining so once again thanks Michaela for looking after us so well

A beautiful drive and... - A beautiful drive and then boat ride through the sound. Bruce was a great tour guide. It is a long day but so worth it to see one of the most beautiful places in the world. We even saw some seals sunbathing.

Memorable day excursion from Te Anau to Milford Sound - Our coach had already picked a lot of passengers up in Queenstown but our driver, Paul had reserved seats for the Te Anau contingent which meant we could sit with our family. We were then given a very informative and entertaining commentary as we headed down to Milford, with a few stops to take photos. The cruise element was equally well organised and the scenery was breathtaking. The captain took us close to the seals and waterfalls and we were able to get some great photos, although none of these can really capture the majesty of the surroundings. It got quite busy outside on the top deck with people jostling for best spots for their photos - but that's inevitable these days.

Real NZ gives a wonderful tour of Milford Sound - Friends of mine had told me to do the Milford Sound tour for spectacular views and a scenic drive! I am so glad I booked with Real NZ. Our bus driver/ tour guide Pete was an absolute blast! He knew the area well and gave us local fun facts throughout the drive! We rode on the Milford Haven, the boat had a wonderful service crew for food/beverages to accompany the wonderful views!

Great trip and worth doing - Although the bus ride is long, it is worth it. Pete was our driver and he was so informative but also quite funny! We enjoyed the trip with him. The cruise itself is stunning and also funny commentary that was informative and made the trip more enjoyable. It is a loooong day so pack snacks!

One of a kind trip!! - Nature at its best!! New Zealand is heaven on earth. Thanks to the excellent commentary by Luke who was so knowledgeable about the area and passed on his knowledge to us and showed us around Milford sound!! The cruise was awesome as well. Food was tasty on the cruise. The mountains, waterfalls and the colour of water made us mesmerised. Thanks to team RealNZ for making our day.

This tour is a great way... - This tour is a great way to go to Milford Sound and experience the fjord from Te Anau. Our bus driver Dean was very entertaining and knowledgeable. He made sure we made the most of our drive through the national parks giving us lots of insights on how the landscape was formed. The cruise was amazing and the boat very comfortable. The downside was that although we got told food could be purchased at the kiosk for lunch there was not any lunch available 5 minutes after the cruise departed. Our only option was to purchase buffet tickets which were very expensive given we were only after a light lunch. Our advice would be to pack your own lunch to take on the boat.

Disappointed with the cruise - We had booked on a trip to Doubtful Sound which, because of operational issues, was cancelled less than 24 hours before departure. Disappointed to say the least we booked this trip to Milford Sound instead. Our driver, Hydi, was fabulous and gave some great commentary on our drive through some amazing scenery - top marks for him. Getting on the boat was easy and, for the first part of the trip, sitting on the top deck we enjoyed the view. However when others came to join us after their buffet it was rather overcrowded to say the least and not an enjoyable experience as so many people were jostling to get the best selfie. Shame as we were trying to soak up the peaceful and serene atmosphere. Would recommend booking a smaller boat and not the Sovereign.

Lovely tour guide, Dean from RealNZ on the drive from Queenstown. Very knowledgeable, personable and professional. - The experience was great apart from the overcrowded deck that was dominated by people who had little regard for anyone else. The view was spectacular.
