Exceptional - The whole experience was unexpected. Amazing boat trip, amazing caves and well organised. The glow worms have an amazing story but are only a small part of this experience

Glow worms - a highlight! - A fabulous afternoon on the lake and through the caves. The caves and glow worms were amazing. The guides were helpful and knowledgeable. Thoroughly recommend it. Don’t leave NZ without doing this!!

Like stars in the night but with glow worms! - Well organized; friendly, courteous and knowledgeable staff. The walk in the cave, the force of the water, the boat ride, the glow worms... We loved the experience. Great place.

Great family activity - Once in a lifetime experience. Can be scary for young children as caves are dark and wet. The boat ride reminded me of Willy Wonkas chocolate boat ride. Boat ride relaxing and informative.

Glow worm tour well worth it - Alex our guide was well informed and shared his knowledge with excitement. We enjoyed seeing and learning more about the glow worms. The sheer volume/power/beauty of the water and the caves themselves were equally impressive. The pathway construction to enable this tour was amazing. We also enjoyed the boat ride to the caves, the informative Q&A and nature walk.

Interesting visit into the glow worms caves - Great trip into the caves to see the glow worms. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable and the educational talk at the end was really interesting. Learnt alot more about the glow worms! Cave experience was good, and the cave really lit up w the worms.

Wonderful sight to see - Amazing to see the cave formations and glow worms in their natural environment. Tour guides seemed to be new to guiding this experience so were lacking a little confidence so would have been good to have them partnered with someone who was a bit more experienced to give more details about the workings of the caves.

Cool but brief viewing! - Seeing the glow worms was a very cool experience! However, this was only about 10 minutes of the whole tour. The rest of the time was spent on the commute/boat over and hearing about the story behind the caves and the worms. Still interesting to hear about the backstory of these caves and the surrounding landscape though. Plus, the tour guides were friendly and informative!

Hardly any glow worms - Sad experience. Hardly any worms. Even heard one guide saying to another she felt like they were scamming people. 120 dollars is an absolute rip off.
