Day time starry night - A must see!!! What a great way to spend the afternoon and to see something so special and unique that you will not see anywhere else in the world. Highly recommend it. The staff were wonderful and the tour was just incredible. Some pro tips, bring a jacket for the ride across the lake (it can get chilly if you are outside), you’ll probably want a coat anyway to hide from the sand flies (bring insect repellent). Highly recommend this tour.

Do it if you can!!! - Boat ride was lovely, caves were super cool. A few spots where you need to bend down, but easily accessible. The boat in the cave was the best part for seeing Glow worms. My kids age 5 and 8 loved it. Guides were awesome as well, thank you!

Glowworms - This was pretty cool and my very first Glowworm experience. Boat over was nice, guide did a good job of explaining the glowworms, and the cave and punt ride were great.

Fantastic tour. - Very informative information about the “worms”. It was beautiful to see them aglow overhead as we floated through the cave. James W was a great guide.

So glad we did this! - Had no idea what to expect- but we had such a wonderful time. The boat trip was wild yet fun- the 5 yr old had a blast. The trip inside the caves was exhilarating - some narrow spaces, rushing water, and many pitch black cavernous areas. Got the heart racing a little! Seeing and learning about the glow worms was fascinating. Our guide was excellent (tall young kiwi dude with dark hair), I wish I caught his name. We enjoyed this experience more than we thought we would!

Breathtaking experience - The experience was one of a kind. RealNZ (who is the operator) ensured to start on time. The overall cave experience was something which I wasn’t ready for. The view of glow worms were brilliant. Highly recommend. The process of booking with Viator was smooth. Cheers.

Inaccurate and hardly spectular. - An interesting place, but there was no warning of the high noise level, the difficulty of finding ones way in the dark, etc. I was horrified to find a very inaccurate list of native orchids, with photographs of orchids that have never been found in New Zealand. When I emailed this information I was ignored. The guides were very young and ill equipped to deal with any emergency. The glow worms were hardly spectacular.

Disappointing experience. Not to be repeated - Got eaten alive by sandflies. The cave was shallow and there were very little glowworm. The glowworm cave at Rotorua is much better. Not worth the 2 hour drive to Te Anau for this.
