- Maximum of 8 people per tour.
- Minimum age is 12 years.
- Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
- This tour is not suitable for elderly people or anyone with mobility difficulties as it involves climbing over boulders, walking up hills and wading through streams with rocks underfoot.
- A reasonable level of fitness is required.
- Tours may be cancelled in case of flooding. In the unlikely event that your tour is cancelled, you’ll receive a full refund.

Best cave experience - Amazing!
Ash was an incredible guide and the whole experience was so personal. The caves and the whole experience was well well worth it. And the tea and biscuits at the end was a good touch. Would recommend this to anyone!

Special Core Memory! Had an amazing time! - Ash, you are an amazing human!
We had a great time on our tour, it was two days after our engagement so we were in a high, Ash embraced it and made it amazing, thank you for being you!
His knowledge and attention to detail was quality in such beautiful family owned land. We felt part of the family just down to his openness and approach. An amazing core memory, incredible sights and experience, thank you!

Absolute Must Do! - Authentic caving experience in a magnificent setting. Professional guide Ash was entertaining, knowledgeable and delightful. Glowworm experience was up close and personal and absolutely amazing. Plan to get real and get wet! Highly recommend this family run business.

A must do in Waitomo - Ash was a fantastic guide and made myself and my partner feel at ease from the moment we arrived.
We went on the experience with one other person which made the experience all the more personal and enjoyable.
Ash talked to us throughout the hike and informed us not only about the Glowworms and caves as it he was studying them for a PHD but also about his family farm which has been in the family for 4 generations.
The unique experience is one that I will mot forget and would consider it a must do for anyone who is passing through Waitomo.
Thanks again Ash and family for letting us experience your family caves and for the fun, chat and friendship along the way.

Better than what I was expecting. - We had an amazing adventure with great stories and a whole lot of laughs. I can’t say enough about our guide, Ash! He made the tour memorable and definitely a lot of fun, what a great guy.

Magical experience 🪱 - The tour was great! The guide is excellent, funny and can give interessting background information. I would recommend it to everybody that is physically mobile enough. Great experience!

Stunning Adventure - The Tour was amazing, we were totally overwhelmed by the beauty of the Caves. It was a real adventure you will go 3 hours through a real, wild cave and yes you will see planty of Glow Worms. Our host Ash was so kind and funny and helpful. A true 5 Star experience!! Can really recommend that.

AMAZING! Very lovely people who genuinely like what they do, they welcomed us like family and provided a tour that felt more than a tourist experience. So definitely off the beaten track! Ash was our tour guide, he was very knowledgeable. He knew how to handle the group and make everyone comfortable during all parts of the tour.

Glow worm adventure - Great experience. Wading through the underground river and clambering over rocks added to the adventure with Ash, our enthusiastic guide. The glow worms turned on a great show for us.
