Unlike typical Roman settlements, Dougga’s history extends to pre-Roman times as a Numidian bastion, flourishing under the reign of Masinissa.
Bulla Regia is an extraordinary Roman site situated in northwest Tunisia, close to the contemporary town of Jendouba. It is famed for its distinctive underground homes designed to mitigate the harsh climactic extremes of hot summers and cold winters. The ability to roam through whole, impeccably conserved villas is remarkable; indeed, Bulla Regia is distinguished by its residential architecture that includes bi-level homes with subterranean floors.

Historical - Great day visiting the Bulla Regia and Dougga archeological sites in Northern Tunisia.
Our guide Mahjoub was excellent, very knowledgeable and eagar to answer any questions we had.

Excellent full day tour of Bulla Regia and Dougga! - Excellent tour and experience! SAHARANSKY was great to work with. Regarding communications, they were quick and responsive and answered any questions I had.
The full day Dougga and Bulla Regia (and lunch) was incredible. The sites were truly spectacular. Very happy to have seen so much history!
Our guide, Boutheina, was absolutely wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic! I would highly recommend taking a tour with her!

Highlight of our trip! - Bulla Regia was the highlight of our trip to Tunisia. Definitely a don’t miss.
Love how up close and personal you can get with the ruins.
Our guide was the perfect mix of informative, funny and didn’t over talk the whole day.
Car was clean and comfortable.
And lunch, was better than expected for a tour meal! Good job!
