Unforgetable experience - Akangau expeditions was the best thing that has happened to me, I will not forget the experiences I was able to live with them, their entire team is very professional when carrying out the different activities, I hope to visit them soon

Amazing jungle experience! - What a great day! Akangau was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We booked the tour somewhat last minute and I’m so glad we chose them! They were super responsive to our questions and requests and got us a tour booked easily over WhatsApp. Our guide Efrain was incredibly knowledgeable and you can tell he really cares about the jungle, its traditions, people, and wildlife. We learned a ton, saw some amazing places, and overall really enjoyed the tour. Lunch at the end was delicious, and we will sleep well tonight! Would definitely do more tours with them the next time we are in Tena.

Dreams jungle trek - I did the jungle day trek. It was good and adventurous. I was by myself and it took around 4.5 hours. I had two guides one who spoke English. They show some cools plants and things along the way. There was some river swims that we had to go through as well. Saw butterflies, frogs, insects, birds. You will definitely get wet. Enjoy

A life-changing experience in Tena, thanks to Akangau - We spent almost 2 weeks doing different tours through Akangau. We did the route of the dreams, the grand canyon, the caves, the river rafting, a multi-day cultural experience, and the Ayahuasca shaman experience. Belén was my contact, she was always very responsive, friendly, helpful. We had a different guide on the day we did route of the dreams, Efraín was great, very knowledgeable about plants in the jungle and gave us so much interesting information about the local culture. For the remainder of our days, our guide was Daniel. Daniel is such a great guy, he took great care of us. Extremely knowledgeable about plants in the area, about the cultures and beliefs, and very extensive knowledge of the jungle. We learned so much from our time doing these different trips, we had many meaningful and interesting cultural interactions. By the end, we didn't want to go and Tena may be our favorite place in Ecuador. In fact we are thinking about volunteering to work with Akangau in the future.

Amazing guide and experience! - Our guide was Ivan and he was fantastic. The company was very responsive and helpful via whatsapp and the vegetarian meal was delicious. We enjoyed the tour so much we did another the following day. We did the Route of Dreams (a beautiful hike in the upper amazon learning about the flora and fauna in the area, an optional swim in a clean refreshing river and a trek back through a shallow river) and we also did the Punta-Caiman tour (a lovely boat journey, short hike in the lower amazon, an optional but so worth it tube/swim in a river, a lunch and visit with a Quichua home and seeing caimans in a lagoon). Highly recommend this company for Amazon tours!

Welcome to the jungle! - We've had the 3 days upper & lower amazon tour and it was really great! Everything was well organized, the activities were very diverse and the accomodation was really nice and with super delicious food (thanks to Giovanni in Pungara Ecolodge:)). Our tour guide Ivan was a great guide who knew every plant and every animal in the jungle and we had a lot of fun there. We can absolutely recommend this tour if you just have a few days and want to explore the beautiful nature around Tena!

Complete jungle experience! - I highly recommand the trips with Akangau Jungle Tours! We got a really authentic experience, we did everything from walking through the jungle to eating traditional lunch in a kichwa village and swimming in the river afterwards! The self made chocolate cream out of fresh cacao beans was truly amazing!

A lovely easy getaway to the jungle from Tena - I did a 2 night tour to Ecodreams bush camp. It was quite close to Tena, and only a 20 minute walk to the camp from the road. My guide Efrain took good care of me and is a super guide, but no English. We didn’t see much wildlife or birds, but I loved the sounds of the jungle all around us. We hiked to the Mirador and had a lovely view. More awareness of plastic use and products with chemicals (soaps) would be good to be truly eco. I mentioned it all to the guide. I would recommend a 1 or 2 night trip to Ecodreams.
