Amazing experience - An amazing experience. We met up at the designated area for pick up. They had a line for English speakers which helped and they were very organized. Highly recommended.

Amazing and so worth it!! - I got to share this experience with a group of friends and all of us were amazed by the views and service. This was definitely worth it and would book again!

Don't skip this tour if you are in Mexico City - Genuinely enjoyed this experience. The tour was very well organized and efficient, we were picked up on time and the process was smooth. The actual ride was excellent, felt safe the entire time. The views were to die for. I was not expecting such a nice breakfast afterwards with mariachi band included. Definitely recommend.

Great experience worth the time and money! - Great experience felt very safe the whole ride ! I opted to not buy the transportation because I wanted to be able to leave sooner than the package offered. The Uber was about $50 roundtrip from my hotel in Roma. Hope this helps.

Great!! Incredible experience!! Nice adventure!! - Sharing Teotihuacan in the sky with the woman that I love, was a dream come true. Thank you for a wonderful and magical experience.

An amazing, surreal experience!! - This was an amazing experience. The driver picked us up on time. The car was comfortable. The people at Volare hq were helpful. The actual balloon experience was just wonderful. They group people together and then call your names to go to each balloon. Our pilot, Fernando, has been doing this 9 years and he was just such a happy, upbeat guy. I am normally somewhat afraid of heights and I felt completely safe- others said the same. Similar to being in a plane for me (except more beautiful!!). Our photos are so fantastic they seem photoshopped. They had a playlist of songs about flying the whole time which was cute. After we returned to the same location and were served a complete Mexican breakfast that was accompanied by a mariachi band. It was really a special experience that we will never forget!

Amazing views!! - This was a great experience, especially for my first time in CDMX! The host was nice, and taught us a few things while we were in the air. We even learned some history about the 3 pyramids. I would do this again, but with a group

Thumps up for friends - It was fun experience and we enjoyed it. A few suggestions, the pilot should share story of the palace especially the pyramids while on air. Secondly, they should offer non-alcoholic drinks at the end for customers who do not consume alcohol

A fun day out. - We enjoyed the hot air balloon ride, and the day was a lot of fun. The tickets are misleading though as they have an incorrect meet time on them of 5am. The actual pick up will be earlier than this and is emailed separately, but we did not get the email on time so had to make our own way there having missed the bus. Be careful.

Great for hot air balloons . . . Teotihuacan site visit, not so much - I am conflicted here. This will be long and in two parts 1) balloon flight and 2) Teotihuacan visit. Many people are aware that scams occur in Mexico and so book trips like this where you think you will be taken care of so that won't happen. 1) Pickup was not right on time but reasonable considering I was the last person in a loaded van. Everything seemed organized well for the flights and ours was AMAZING! Breakfast afterwards was simple but good. Everyone has been given colored bracelets for either transport back to CDMX or Teotihuacan and boarded vans with matching colored signs to arrive just as it opens. 2) this is where things turn. The van driver did not take us to any of the gates. We were met by three "guides" who spoke as if they were already in charge, but this was not part of the Volare booking. You could choose to go with a guide and pay extra or go on your own. I ( and others) chose to go on my own. Well, it was AN HOUR WALK to the first gate we encountered. We only had three hours total to meet the vans again at the same place so that really only left 1 hour at the site. Basically, we were set up and intentionally inconvenienced in order to get us to go on the paid tour. Either this was the work of just the driver or Volare is complicit in this. Volare asked us to be respectful of drivers and show up for the return on time ( and all day I had been respectful by waiting for the hotel pickup early and following directions) but putting people who are unfamiliar with the surroundings, who may have health issues and trying to avoid inconveniencing others while being safe, is NOT RESPECTFUL. At this point, I decided I would see what I wanted to see of the site, ended at gate 1, and knowing that I probably could not make it back to the same entrance gate and then another hour back to the drop off site. I chose to Uber back to CDMX where I knew I would make it back to my hotel . It doesn't have to be this way, Volare. Protect your customers. For example, at the airport, I booked an authorized taxi. The woman at the counter radioed another man who met me at the door and led me past a scammer taxi to the correct one. If you want to help friends with a tour guide business, fully vet them, and then make it an official option with clear details during the booking process. For travelers looking at Volare, if you just want to do the hot air balloon - ABSOLUTELY BOOK WITH VOLARE. If you want to visit Teotihuacan on foot, book with a different company OR if you have a group of 2-3 people, Uber to Volare, then to Teotihuacan then back to CDMX as you feel comfortable.
