9:30 AM - Departure from hotel or private residence within the perimeter to the starting location.

10:00 AM - Begin the journey along the Tequila Route. (by bus)

11:30 AM - Guided tour of a craft distillery with an explanation of the tequila production process (cooking, fermentation, and distillation).

12:00 PM - Sampling of handcrafted Tequila.

1:00 PM - Explore the Magical Town of Tequila with free time for dining.

3:00 PM - Tour of La Rojeña de José Cuervo distillery. (additional fee)

5:00 PM - Return to central locations in Guadalajara (Historic Center, Minerva, Expo Guadalajara)

1. Minerva Roundabout
The Glorieta de La Minerva is one of Guadalajara, Jalisco’s most iconic landmarks. Situated at a major city intersection, this grand roundabout features a striking sculpture of the Roman goddess Minerva, the guardian of wisdom and war. The 8-meter-tall statue is encircled by fountains and gardens, creating a visually captivating setting. Established in 1956, it serves as a central hub for sports and cultural festivities. Inscriptions at its base pay tribute to Guadalajara’s courage, making it a site that blends history, local pride, and architectural elegance.

2. Paisaje Agavero
The artisanal tequila factory on the Tequila Route is a place where the tradition and artistry of tequila production are preserved. Visitors can delve into the ancient process that creates tequila, from harvesting the blue agave to transforming it into Jalisco’s signature drink. The tour starts in the agave fields, showcasing the work of the jimadores, skilled experts who select and cut agave pineapples. In the factory, traditional methods are highlighted: pineapples are slowly cooked in stone or brick ovens, releasing the natural sugars that form the base of tequila. The must is then fermented in small wooden vats and distilled in copper stills, ensuring a small-batch production that emphasizes authentic flavors.

3. El Arenal

It also celebrates the jimadores, guardians of this tradition, and the pre-Hispanic deities associated with the agave.
