Authentic Stay in Amizmiz: Pottery, Villa, and Warm Hospitality ! - This is THE experience you should not miss, if you want to visit a special place, meet interesting people and all in all have the most authentic insights! From start to finish it was magical and we are so happy that we got the chance to do that. The first communication with Simu was lovely and we already felt welcome. The pick-up was super punctual and the drive to Amizmiz scenical. We arrived at the really small and family run manufacture and were so excited about all the information about this art. After a small breakfast we could get started and the lovely potter Youssef taught us how to make our very own Tajine - we even learned how to write our names in arabic and personalized our dish. Then we could also get creative with the clay and were super happy about that. Then we took a walk to the beautiful and quiet Villa, where we had the best lunch. The best thing: We could even stay there overnight, which I would highly recommend to everyone - it is a magical place with a lot of love to the detail - especially after a few days in bustling marrakech this is a relief. Next time we would definitely come back longer! All in all, I would highly recommend everyone to book this, we were super happy and especially thankful to have met the lovely host Simu and his team. We felt very welcome and hope that many people can enjoy this. Thank you so much!

excellent time with Mohamed! - Great experience! We had a great time with Mohamed and the potters of Amizmiz who welcomed us warmly. It was our first approach to pottery and they made us want to continue this activity. We followed up with a very nice walk on the trails around Amizmiz in the Company of Mohamed. Great respect for all our guests in Amizmiz, who despite the terrible ordeal they suffered as a result of the earthquake, continue to welcome their visitors with great human warmth and a great sense of hospitality and sharing.

Just try it out!! - I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants a unique experience while you are in Marrakesh or nearby cities. First, you enjoy a local pottery experience. It’s not easy to make tajine out of clay, but Youssef teaches and supports you patiently so you can enjoy it. It was quite fun and I’m pretty sure it’s not the kind of experience that you can try everywhere. After the pottery experience, Momo took us walking to his guesthouse. The view was quite amazing all the way there and Momo explained to us many things about the village and Morocco while we were on a walk. Then we had delicious lunch at his guesthouse and enjoyed some relaxing time by the pool after that. Overall, we had an exceptional time and it was beyond our expectations. Momo is a very friendly guide and he gave us an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much!

Great time !! - Mohamed (Momo)’s experience was such a great time. As a truly local guide to the area around Amizmiz, about an hour outside of Marrakesh, he explained in detail about daily life and the natural beauty of the area. Going to the small potters studio was amazing, learning with very patient and skilled potters to make traditional pieces as well as open to help you create your own work as you desire. He manages a few very beautiful villas in the area, and in retrospect I wish I had booked a few nights there ( EdenAtlas) so I could have stayed and spent more time with the potters and exploring the area. He was very open to accommodate any requests and provide a custom tour, hike, and workshop. He also is developing a cooking course which I would love to do in the future. On Instagrem there are more pictures and direct contact at PotteryinAtlas, and next time I will try to work with him to tailor a week long experience for a group of my friends, as there is so much to see and experience there, and after talking through the day its easy to see he would do anything in his power to create the most rewarding and culturally immersive experience in the Atlas mountains, connecting and learning from the local community in all the many art forms and culinary techniques that you can only get to know by being there. Recommend 10/10, and suggest talking to him about a custom experience via IG or trpadvisor! Will be back soon! Thank you so much Momo!

The walk between the olive trees offered you a moment of calm and connection with nature. It all ended with a delicious Berber tagine, an explosion of authentic flavors.
