Beautiful views - Absolutely amazing day. We have visited the national park and hike the view point - it was tough but the view was magnificent. The food on the boat was very good and lots of drinks and coffee. Kayaking was exciting too. The staff was the best - helpful, organised and happy. Will do it again next time I am back on Koh Samui. Thanks guys

Lovely relaxing boat tour - We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the pier. We boarded the large boat. There was, coffee, tea, bananas and snacks.. then we moved towards the islands on the west of Ko Samui to the marine National Park. Stopped on one of the islands and those brave enough went up 500 meters to the top to get a view. One can stop at other viewing spots. There are steps but get good shoes with rubber soles as it can be a bit slippery. You can swim instead. There is a bar and a place where to leave your staff for free. Toilets etc. No plastic! (Finally!) Then we went in the boat for lunch. Massaman chicken, deep fried chicken, soup with vegetables, rice, salad and watermelon. All fresh and tasting good! Also served on stainless steel large round plates! No plastic on this boat. Then swimming and kayaking and a visit to the lagoon on the other island. Very well organised and very helpful staff. The owner is lovely! Very good price too 1000 THB + 300 for National Park!

A fun day out to the marine park - Took a full day tour to Angthong National Marine Park with our kids. All staffs are helpful and the boat is sea-worthy, comfortable and they serve authentic Thai food for lunch, and two snacks (morning and afternoon). Had time to do snorkeling and kayaking in beautiful surroundings. Nice weather. Highly recommended for a day trip off Samui Island.

Lovely natural scenery! - We went to Angthong National Park yesterday with my family, the tour was fun and there were so many tourists. They picked up from the hotel which was a bit late, but the front staffs were friendly. They returned to Samui by 5.45. So tired of the trip, but very value for money for sure better than speed boat.

Good day out - We took the sightseeing and kayaking option of this tour. We were picked up from our hotel at 7:45. There was the option of a light breakfast of a roll, hot drink and banana on board but we’d had breakfast at our hotel already. Lunch was a chicken, rice with vegetables and water melon. Water, pepsi and fanta were provided. The crew were friendly and helpful, but the announcements over the microphone difficult to follow. Very little briefings were provided and to a large extent it appeared you were responsible for your own health and safety. Life jackets were provided but not everyone wore them and the crew didn’t appear too concerned. The trek to the top viewpoint is not for the faint of heart. Takes about 30 mins to get to the top with moderate fitness. Great views at the top but it’s just a viewpoint. Take lots of water and proper walking shoes. The kayaking was fun but no clear route, just make sure you follow the group. The snorkeling area appeared quite limited and the water wasn’t deep and rocky at the bottom. Apparently you aren’t allowed to take any sea shells away from the beach so watch out. The prices for the tour appear to vary dependent on where you book it from too!

Anthong marine Park not for the faint hearted - The staff were friendly and helpful but the loudspeaker announcements Could not be heard clearly. If you don't like heights this might not be the trip for you! The floating jetty is hard to manage if the water is a bit choppy and the climb to the top of the viewing platform is unachievable for some, the steps are more like a rock climb in places. The lagoon hike has very steep stairs and again is unachievable for some. The kayaking was fun but not much instruction given so make sure you have used one before you go. The lunch on the boat was great fresh food and really tasty. The trip was fun but please be aware some parts are hard going.

Overall a good day out in the Marine Park. - Comfortable boat and great crew, the climb to the top of Koh Wau Ta Lap Island was hard but worth the effort and great view. Lunch back on board the boat was well catered and more than enough. Then visited the salt water emerald green lagoon,Talay Nai, more stairs and steps to get to the viewpoints but again well worth the effort. Opted for just the snorkeling rather than kayak, and a bit disappointed in the limited fish, coral and clams that could be seen in the shallow water. Be aware, as they say on the website, price paid does not include the park entrance fee for foreigners of 300 ฿, that is paid when you board the boat. Overall though, a good day out and would recommend Highseas Tours for a day in the Marine National Park.

OK - ish - First of all - the marine park is a gem: white sand, turquoise see, beautiful islands. I read some reviews that complain about trash in the sea or on the beaches. I am happy to report that we did not see a single trash. We were also impressed by the staff on the boat: everyone is extremely friendly. As for the tour itself I cannot be satisfied. Most of the tour is spent on the boat. The boat is quite old and noisy. Safety might be an issue: my 1,3 meter 25 kg daughter was give an adult (size L) life jacket. We had to complain three times before the staff found a child jacket. We saw a lot of kids with large jackets. The sea was very calm, but just be aware that if the sea is rough your child might be given a unsafe life jacket. There is hardly any snorkeling on the tour. We spent about 20 minutes twice in the water. On both occasions in a very shallow water (knee deep). We are experienced snorkelers but we managed to cut ourselves on the corals. The water was murky (lots of people, shallow water). Kayaking was nice, albeit short. The best (and also the most strenuous) part was hiking to the viewpoint. We did it in flip-flops, it would have been better to wear hiking shoes (our fault completely as we were advised to wear proper shoes). We saw monkeys and a bat. The food was OK, but if you are a vegetarian be aware that you will be eating rice and salad and a watery soup. We still had lots of fun, but if you expect to do lots of snorkeling (as we had) you ll probably be disappointed. I believe that the tour should have been called a boat tour and not snorkeling and kayaking tour.

Worth considering - There are many companies plying the waters of Angthong Marine Park and High Seas Tours is worth considering. The crew are friendly and helpful. The boat is safe and the crew always insisted on life jackets being worn. The journey follows the same routine as all others. On the day I visited there were about 40 on board. Other tours have many more guests which means disembarking and embarking takes longer. Naturally, the scenery and experience on the islands were amazing. Suggested improvements include displaying a copy of the itinerary (when the captain was announcing it a Chinese couple were arguing so loudly we couldn't hear it) and keeping an eye on overcrowding the long boats. Breakfast and Lunch were basic, but at 1100BHT (or 1400BHT with kayaking) you don't do this for the food.
