Highly recommend this informative and beautiful tour - This was an excellent tour, and our guide, who is Karen, taught us so much about the history and current situation of the Karen in Doi Inthanon. The views were amazing and the homestay was so peaceful. Be prepared to get wet on the bamboo rafting!

Great respectful nature and cultural hiking experience - We experienced the 4 days with the local guides Taksin, Pali and Son and the hospitable Karen people in the villages as very special. The tours were through nature, challenging but with good pacing, impressively beautiful and provided with a lot of information about all plants and animals by the guides. We enjoyed also the cooking, eating and drinking together in the communities in the evenings. Taksino was a great guide who speaks good English. He helped us through the days with empathy and humor. Give him our warm regards when you see him!

A great way to get into the countryside and see something of village life. - We did a 3 day trip with Green Trails which included walking, rafting and some waterfall swimming. The guide Nareng was very friendly and knowledgeable and we found the company very flexible - they agreed to adapt 1 day to fit in specific places I wanted to visit, and during the trip we could say if we wanted to spend longer or shorter somewhere. We slept 2 nights in Karen villages, I expected to be more in a Karen home, mixing with a Karen family and joining in their activities, but we were instead in separate sleeping accommodation and didn't really have contact with any people in the villages. We could observe, but not really join in or chat with, despite the guide being able to translate.

Don't miss hiking experience! - 2 day hike booked with this club. Well organized with pick up at hotel and a stop at the local market before starting the 1st walking day. Hard climbs but the viewpoints are definitely worth it, the Guide adapts perfectly to the group with enough stops. Refreshing swim with lunch at waterfall and then take the last steps towards the overnight spot (about 8-9km on day 1). Arriving here around 2 there was an anti-climax for us, no more programming so but helped with cooking, another chang beer and early to bed. Sleeping is in a guesthouse, not quite in a karen village as outlined. Next day again 8km through the bush through the rice fields, insanely beautiful! Much downhill so better to do for those with less condition. After the trip a full pad thai for lunch and then an hour of bamboo rafting before we were dropped back at the hotel. Experience that we did not want to miss but where there is definitely room for improvement (eg visits Long necks, evening program). We participated with our 10 year old daughter who was continuously in the leading group by the enthusiastic Guide!
