OMG, Trip of a Lifetime in Khao Lak - OMG, what an outstanding day we had. Picked up from our hotel, whisked off to meet the stunning elephants at the ‘Elephant Sanctuary’, taken to board our wonderful Longtail Boat, whisked off to the most breathtaking islands and finally James Bond Island. Our guide was local and so very friendly and showed us the best places and scenery imaginable. Howard and I cannot thank him enough and will be back next February. Thailand is so very new beautiful and it’s a must to go on a day trip like this and have an expert so you around. As a massive Bond fan, I was quite emotional visiting the island and couldn’t quite believe I was there, it was amazing. We got taken to the Skywalk, which only opened a few months before our visit, and this was a great surprise as wasn’t in our original booking agenda. So very good views from there and a breathtaking sunset. I would advise anyone to book this trip, we will be on it again same time next year with, I hope, the same guide, Guide Spaite in Khao Lak xxx

James Bond Island tour - Such a beautiful place and a relaxing interesting day. We traveled by long-tail boat to the 'James Bond Island' where Man With The Golden Gun' was filmed - its stunning and has small caves and a little gift market. The stall holders are a little pushy but not too overwhelming. Following this we went to the floating village for the best lunch on our whole holiday. Saw the floating football pitch and gently haggled in the market where the stall holders were not at all pushy. On to the mangrove swamp and cave where we saw an abundance of wildlife and stalactites. The final stop was the stunninv Buddist cave temple with the monkeys An amazing day with a fantastic guide Well worth the money

perfect day tour! - A great full day tour. Fun boat ride and a very good lunch. Driver and guide were friendly and educational. They even picked us up at our resort which was 45 minutes away! I recommend this tour 100 percent.

Brilliant day out!! - Absolutely loved this. Our guide Sai, from Khao Lak Triple, was very personable and energetic. The longboat ride to James Bond Island was fab - it’s about 45 minutes so it does get a little tough sitting on the wooden seat for that long though but you are distracted by the amazing scenery along the way! James Bond Island was great. Fascinating to see such a unique landscape up close. The canoe ride was fantastic too! I was a little nervous getting on it because I’m a heavy guy but that wasn’t a problem at all. Ironically, it was more my height - there will be some lying back as you enter caves haha! A brilliant experience! The floating village was again something quite astounding to see. Lunch was served here. I’d requested vegetarian cuisine - it was ok but not the best I’ve had in Thailand. The penultimate stop was the Wat Suwan Kuha. I’d actually been there a few days prior on the 3 Temples Tour but because of the rain, the lighting inside was intermittent so it was good to see everything properly lit this time. This is often referred to as the “monkey temple” of Khao Lak because of all the monkeys - just be careful around them though. Nowhere near as innocent as they might appear 😂 We finished with a stop at the Ton Chong Fa waterfall. After a hot, humid day, it was great to take a dip. Don’t forget to pack a towel! It’s also quite slippery on the way down so go slow!

A "Must Do" Excursion - Picked up at Hotel approx 8am, returned approx 5.30pm. We travelled by comfortable minibus bus to the boat. Sailed out to James Bond Island (approx 1 hour visit) and then onto a kayaking experience (approx 1 hour) and then on to Panyee Village where we had a marvellous lunch and tour of the stilted village. From here on to the Temple (Reclining Buddha) and feeding the monkeys. A massively worthwhile value for money trip. Amazing sightseeing.

Definitely something to do - Nice day out. Well organised trip. Definitely recommend it if you haven’t seen the area there. Gives a lot of insight. Also very touristy and crowded. But that was to be expected. Everyone is doing the same tour.

great day out - we went with "on the go tours" our driver was shocking the rest of the trip was fantastic. a great day out, the long tail boat was pleasant, cooling on a hot day, stop off at the cave, kayaking followed with a lovely lunch at the stilted town home past the reclining Buddha

Average - Unfortunately this tour was an average one for us. After an incredible experience at Phi Phi islands a few days prior this tour didn’t meet up to our expectations. The whole day felt very rushed and given that we had booked this tour specifically to see James Bond island, we were only given 40 minutes on the island - which doesn’t give you much time to explore. Koh Panyee was amazing to see but the food was average and certainly not the best we have had in Thailand. Only 2 bottles of water given all day, no other soft drinks/tea/coffee included as mentioned as part of the tour. So make sure you bring enough cash or drinks with you! My advice, book with a different tour operator that gives you longer on James Bond island.
