Get ready for an expedition to the ancient realm of ‘Little Amazon,’ a concealed forest of Banyan Trees near Takuapa. The quiet tranquility of paddling under the colossal Banyan tree forest canopy is soothing. Cruise towards a Nipa Palm forest and enjoy the beautiful bird songs along the Klong Sung Nae River. Travel in a local Thai taxi, known as ‘Songteaw,’ to Takuapa Old Town and experience the traditional and cultural aspects of this quaint, historical town, which has retained its authenticity for over a century. Observe the vintage style architecture, cozy cafés, and the most renowned feature of Takuapa, the old tin mines and factories which remained operational until the 1920s.
