Great unique place - Beautiful market. Great experience and so much variety of goods. Souvenirs and food, clothes etc. boat is the best way to see the whole market

An Expensive Experience - Overpriced, my sister and I paid BHT 5,500 each. For boat ride and tiger visit. Were hassled at the very beginning at a market stall. Our boat driver stopped, introduced us to his wife. We were not interested in buying anything. The boat driver turned off his boat engine and parked up until we purchased a few overpriced items. My biggest regret and I am so ashamed I had a photograph with the bengal tiger. Such a majestic animal was reduced to a drugged stupor for the sake of money. Having paid the entry fee I thought our photographs would be covered, wrong we paid a further BHT 500. Don't take photos when people parade pythons and the beautiful little slow loris with the huge cute eyes, they want BHT 1000 for a photo. On the boat ride we passed many beautiful Buddhists Temples, the Buddhism ethics of aniconism, I was gobsmacked with all the gimmick and novelty anime and cartoon statues. These ruined the whole atmosphere of a sacred spiritual environment. What I did enjoy. Looking at the sights and scenery, especially the older charming traditional wooden homes on stilts, the aromatic flowers at the main stalls, feeding some large fish on the big river #I LOVED the Coconut ice-cream (so delicious), only BHT 60. This works out to the same cost we would pay for the same if we have it at home.
