Thermopylae, Meteora, Delphi, Arachova, Distomo, and a Romantic Night Stay at Delphi

Battlefield of Thermopylae - The journey begins in Athens, followed by a drive to Thermopylae. Here, visitors will explore Thermopylae’s Innovative Centre of Historical Information and admire the Statue of Leonidas.

Roussanou Monastery - Next, the tour proceeds to the awe-inspiring Meteora, where numerous monasteries, such as the Holy Monastery of Varlaam, Rousanou, and the Holy Trinity, are perched atop 1000-foot rocks.

Delphi - After a scenic drive through mountains and fertile valleys, the tour arrives at Delphi, nestled beneath the 3000-foot tall Mount Parnassos. Visitors will explore the Archaeological Museum of Delphi, the Archaeological site of Delphi, and the Temple of Apollo.

Arachova - A coffee break awaits in Arachova, where the charming stone villages offer opportunities for photography and souvenir shopping.

Distomo Massacre Memorial - On June 10, 1944, Waffen-SS troops of the 2nd company, I/7 battalion, 4th SS Polizei Panzergrenadier Division, led by SS-Hauptsturmführer Fritz Lautenbach, conducted a brutal massacre of Greek civilians in Distomo, a small village near Delphi, as a “savage reprisal” for a partisan attack. A total of 214 men, women, and children were killed. Survivors recount horrific acts, including the bayoneting of babies, stabbing of pregnant women, and beheading of the village priest.

Delphi - Overnight stay in Delphi. Travelers are responsible for arranging accommodation for themselves and the driver, as it is not included.

Mycenae, Epikourios Temple, Nafplion, and Ancient Olympia

Archaeological Site of Olympia - Olympia, a small town in Elis on the Peloponnese peninsula, is renowned for its archaeological site, a major Panhellenic religious sanctuary of ancient Greece where the ancient Olympic Games were held. Dedicated primarily to Zeus, it attracted visitors from across the Greek world as one of the “Panhellenic” centers that helped forge the identity of the ancient Greeks as a nation. Despite its name, Olympia is not near Mount Olympus in northern Greece, the mythical home of the Twelve Olympians.

Archaeological Site of Mycenae - Mycenae, with its ancient palace and monuments, boasts over 5000 years of history and is one of the most significant ancient cities in world history.

Fortress of Palamidi - The first capital city after the Greek Revolution in 1821. Visitors will explore the magnificent Palamidi Castle, enjoy a short train tour of the old city, and visit Bourtzi by taxi boats.

This excursion covers seven of Greece’s most significant archaeological sites.

This two-day tour showcases some of Greece’s most renowned attractions. Along the way, the operator will provide extensive information on history, mythology, and culture.

The tour includes a visit to Delphi, the navel of the world, and the religious sites of Meteora. Following this, the group will pass by Thermopylae, famous for the battle of the 300 Spartans, and the stunning Arachova. The night will be spent in Delphi (accommodation is not included; travelers are responsible for arranging accommodation for themselves and the driver), where there will be free time in the evening for various activities.

On the second day, the tour will visit Mycenae, the charming seaside town of Nafplion, and the Palamidi Castle, concluding with a trip to Ancient Olympia. In Nafplion, there will be free time for dining or exploring the beautiful city.

• If the tour is combined with a transfer the Maximum Luggage ( american size 32kl) can be no more than 3 and the start time of the tour starts at the time of the first pickup eg :( There is a customer that buys a tour starting from Cruise terminal but first he/she wants to be transferred to his Hotel to do the check in and then to start the tour. ) if the customer wants extra services than the ones that paid for,the operator will charge him extra and the payment will be done to the driver in cash or credit card.
