- Battlefield of Thermopylae - Our trip will start from Athens and then we will drive to Thermopylae, where we will visit Thermopylae’s Innovative Centre of Historical Information and we will see the Statue of Leonidas.
- Roussanou Monastery - Afterwards we will drive to the breathtaking Meteora, where we will visit a lot of monasteries, built on top of 1000 foot rocks, such as the Holy Monastery of Varlaam, Rousanou and the Holy Trinity.
Then we will take a break for a coffee at Kalabaka. Driving through the beautiful stone villages of Arachova where we’ll be able to stop so that you can take photos and buy souvenirs.
- Delphi - After a wonderful scenic drive through mountains and fertile valleys we reach Delphi, located under the 3000ft tall mountain Parnassos. There we will visit the Archaeological museum of Delphi, we will see the Archaeological site of Delphi and the site of the temple of Apollo.
- Distomo Massacre Memorial - Distomo a dramatic village in 1944 350 people lost their lifes,it was a Nazi war crime perpetrated by members of the Waffen-SS in the village of Distomo, Greece, in 1944, during the German occupation of Greece during World War II.
- Bournazi Square - In this extra local area…!!! In the end of the tour all the travellers will enjoy in a very beutifull greek TAVERNA greek food as grill meat,fish,salads,deserts,wine,beer,soft dinks.

Our journey commences from Athens.
On this remarkable full-day excursion, you will witness some of the most attractive landmarks and landscapes. Along the way, I’ll furnish plenty of information concerning history, mythology, and culture.
We will savoret a visit to Delphi, the wonder of the globe and the spiritual locations of Meteora. Additionally, we will travel through Thermopylae, the historic site of the 300 Spartans battle, and the stunning Arachova.
The itinerary, duration, and activities can be modified to suit your preferences. Please inform me of any specific requirements you might have.
- 2 Mercedes E200 Sedan for 5-7 passengers (4 passengers in each vehicle)
- We can pick our customers up from wherever they want inside the region of Athens.
- If the pick up is from the Airport or from the cruise dock please provide all the details to the operator after from the pickup.
- If there is a Strike in The city Center or a special event that effects the tour,the tour may change start time or ITINERARY under the instructions of the operator and the agreement of the customer
- Please provide as much as possible contact details to the operator even after the booking
- If the booking will start from Ath Int Airport the time of the tour start to count fro the pickup of the customer,so do not stress your self in cases of Delay of flights.
- If the tour is combined with a transfer the Maximum Luggage ( american size 32kl) can be no more than 3 and the start time of the tour starts at the time of the first pickup eg :( There is a customer that buys a tour starting from Cruise terminal but first he/she wants to be transferred to his Hotel to do the check in and then to start the tour. ) if the customer wants extra services than the ones that paid for,the operator will charge him extra and the payment will be done to the driver in cash or credit card.

Best day trip in Athens - If you're looking for a 5 star one day experience I highly recommend this, especially with Paddy the driver/tour guide. Knows so much history and makes you feel like MVP for the day.

We really enjoyed this trip. Thanks to the driver, we had a wonderful time. - The places we visited are amazing. The driver, Paddy, is very knowledgable about the Greek history and acommondated our needs. We really enjoyed the ride and sightseeings. The lunch place the driver took us to has great food.

All day adventure of 3 historic sites far from Athens - Dallas was our private tour guide. He grew up in Athens and was knowledgeable about Greek history and culture. He was very passionate about his country. He let us decide how much time we wanted to spend at each site. In summary we enjoyed both the major sites (Meteoa and Delphi), but also enjoyed the drive and scenery in the country.

A Long Day Travelling but good company throughout - Dallas picked us up early from the hotel and we experienced Athens traffic. Driving to Meteora was on good roads and Dallas gave us interesting stories. Meteora wasn't our favourite place, but the information and sights were great. Dallas also gave us great stories at Thermopylae and seeing the area now, as opposed to the landscape for the original battles, was eye opening. A vast change in the scenery. Greece has been fought over for many centuries. Delphi was interesting in the context of the Oracle, the priests and the many believers who travelled dangerous land in the mountains. Difficult to attack. Dallas gave us a great experience at a traditional Greek restaurant with families, couples, and generations eating together (as well as the smoking "roll your own" and manufactured cigarettes) and presented us with a small parting gift. Thanks Dallas.

Amazing Experience of Thermopylae, Meteora and Delphi - The Meteora, Thermopylae and Delphi trip was an amazing experience. Sebastian is a very friendly and knowledgeable driver who went out of his way to make sure that we enjoyed every bit of the journey. He provided a captivating narration of the history of the landmarks and monuments we visited. There was plentiful provision of water and soft drinks kept cold in ice, and snacks. The ride took a few hours and the Mercedes vehicle was perfect for comfort. At the end of the trip, we were treated to a sumptuous Greek dinner included in the price of the tour. All in all, we will heartily recommend this tour to family and friends.

Worth every penny!! - Mike was our driver and guide and he offered so much valuable information concerning our trip and Greece in general. He is well spoken and very kind. We found him to have a delightful sense of humor and some fantastic food recommendations throughout the day.

A perfect blend of Unesco sites - Much better than doing it on our own - This tour is amazing and much better than doing it on our own. Meteora and Delphi are both Unesco world heritage sites - stunning scenery blended with ancient history - and are “must-see” sites while visiting Greece. We looked into visiting them on our own - and the logistics would have required 2-3 days v. this one day tour.
It is a long day, but it was so worth it. Manos, our driver and guide, was simply amazing. He was charming, with an encyclopedic knowledge of the sites we visited, Greek history and Greek culture. His English was flawless. And he listened and tailored the tour to our specific interests. We laughed through out the day and the time flew.
We thought we would be too tired for the closing dinner, but it also was a welcome end to an awesome day- the restaurant is in an area of Athens with more locals than tourists - the food was a feast, and the quality was superb.
Theodores Travel has pulled together a thoughtful, comprehensive tour - timed to avoid crowds, in immaculate cars (or vans, depending on your numbers), tailored to your interests, with knowledgeable, personable, simply charming ambassadors to Greek culture and history. You simply cannot go wrong taking this tour - it was a highlight of our trip.

Absolutely Worth It - Do This! - It is a long day, but absolutely worth it. Theodore Travels has pulled together a perfect tour - Meteora is one of the wonders of the world, Delphi is stunning, the memorials informative and the villages charming. The tour is timed to minimize crowds and the car was immaculate.
The star of our tour was Manos - he was much more than our driver - he was our guide and ambassador to Greek history and culture. He was a good listener, flexible and tailored the tour to our interests. He also had an encyclopedic knowledge of the sites and history. He was charming and engaging. In short, he was amazing.
Finally, the dinner at the end was most welcome - in a neighborhood where natives eat, and an awesome selection of excellent Greek food.
We wanted to see the sites in this tour - on our own it would have taken 2-3 days - this tour made it all possible, with the best possible guide. Absolutely worth the time and cost - do this!

Not worth it. - This tour was overpriced but the only one that offers both excursions in one day. There are many things to improve. Small breakfast and lunch should be included. The guide although nice lacked enthusiasm. Add music, drinks, better storytelling! Dinner should be before the drive back! Somewhere better than the middle of downtown traffic! (We did appreciate the waters provided.)
