Friends from Malaysia - Meteora is amazing. Both the guides are very good & knowledgeable & tell us details of Meteora. The bus ride from Athens & transfer was smooth only that we have to load our luggages to the buses. The 3 star hotel was also very clean & good plus the breakfast was a bonus too

Meteora Rocks!! - The monasteries on the top of Meteora were amazing. The natural beauty of the rock formations was breathtaking. The sunset tour was fantastic. The tour staff on both days were fabulous. Hotel Kaikis was good, especially the breakfast.

Worth every dollar - Great agency to work with, they are very responsive and accommodating. The tour guide are friendly, knowledgeable and funny. I did the 2 day tour with a 4.5 hr sunset tour and the morning tour with the hike. It's an easy mostly downhill hike, with hidden places, spots you can get to only on your feet. The hotel was great too with delicious breakfast that had plenty of vegan options. Staff was friendly.

Impressive nature and culture program - Absolutely great tour. Transfer from Thessaloniki and hotel in Kalambaka included. Friendly and competent guides, impressive program. Two-day tour allows a great combination of nature experiences (especially at sunset!) and a visit to the monasteries the next morning. Very practical, especially if you are traveling without a car.

Perfect tour - I rarely enjoy guided tours because they rush you and prevent you from enjoying the attractions that maybe, you will only see once in your life. I took it because I was travelling alone for work and I badly wanted to see Meteora. it's the second most visited place in Greece. This tour was a rare exception; I am very surprised. You get an afternoon tour that makes plenty of stops, gives you plenty of time in each spot, lets you visit 1 monastery (accessible) and waits for you to enjoy the sunset on a rock. Yes, the rock is crowded... The following day you get a general tour of another 4 monasteries. Be prepared to climb many stairs and slopes. In each one of them you get about an hour; not a lot but enough for most people. the guides were good, quite knowledgeable and friendly. In the afternoon tour the owner of the company insisted on using a big bus that doesn't really fit in these medieval streets and we wasted a lot of time, but well, he is the owner. Other arrangements. At the moment it is not possible to travel by train. It has to be done by coach. You get the usual cranky driver, but the buses are comfortable, reliable, and on time. The local part (Trikala to Kalambaka) it's a regular bus. Instructions are quite clear, it's not difficult to make it. the agency has arranged it perfectly. The 3* hotel is ok for one night; all furniture worn but functional, clean and with great views from the balcony. there are many places to eat in the village with good food and friendly service. I recommend this excursion a lot

It could have been nice... - The tour had to be canceled at the last moment - and unfortunately after my departure from Thessaloniki towards Kalambaka - due to Cyclone Daniel which hit central Greece hard (7 September). The Agency, after due clarifications and apologies, immediately refunded the amount I paid. I hope to have the opportunity to visit Meteora in the near future and in this case I will certainly turn to Meteora Thrones.

Poor start but gets better - Meteora advised that train travel was not possible so we went by public bus which was bearable but then learnt that the trains were ok. So this was a mix up. The tours and hotel were good.

Poor Experience - Meteora is amazing. Tour was poorly organised and delivered. First ‘guide’ told us wrong time for later pick up so no-one was ready and was then very rushed to get ready. No wi-fi, no map, no information on where we were going until we got there. Hotel very old fashioned. Next morning, no time for breakfast/very rushed. Spent over an hour on bus picking up other people before tour started. Waste of time. Again no information on where we were going, no map, no wi-fi. Guide poor. Much of the tour duplicated from previous evening. English very heavily accented so difficult to understand. Commentary formulaic and a repeat of previous day. Dropped back c 1pm in Kalabaka. Far too long to wait for train. Nothing to do and Museums shut from 3pm. Tour should have started later so time for breakfast and arrived back later. Perhaps 2 hours later. Then would be time for lunch and not do long to wait for train. Left to find own way to station.
