• Pella - The guided tour starts at the archaeological site of Ancient Pella, the former capital of Macedonia and the birthplace of Alexander the Great. Excavations in 1957 uncovered a city frozen in time, allowing visitors to envision the splendor of Ancient Macedonia with the assistance of our knowledgeable guide. The next destination is Vergina, the ancient capital of the Macedonian Kingdom, where one of Greece’s most remarkable museums is located. After enjoying some free time for lunch, the exploration of the museum begins, which houses the royal tomb of King Philip II, the father of Alexander the Great. The museum also features gold and other invaluable artifacts of significant historical importance. The day concludes with a return to Thessaloniki.
