Your adventure begins as you board the bus departing from Thessaloniki to Trikala at 09:30. Relax and enjoy a scenic ride through the charming countryside, offering picturesque views of mainland Greece. At 12:20, the bus will arrive at the Trikala bus station, where you will transfer to another bus departing for Kalambaka (Meteora) at 12:30. By 13:30, you will reach Meteora, where you can unwind at your hotel.
- Meteora - In the afternoon, you will be picked up from your hotel for the 4-hour “Meteora: Guided Sunset Tour with Monasteries and Caves Visit.”
During this tour, you will discover some of Meteora’s most remarkable hidden gems, such as the ancient hermitages of Bandovas, the hermit caves, the Byzantine Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary, and the charming old district of Kalambaka. You will also have the opportunity to explore one of Meteora’s magnificent monasteries.
Finally, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views, capture stunning photos, and witness one of the most spectacular sunsets you will ever see.
- Meteora - The next morning, you can choose to participate in a 4-hour tour of your preference. Opt for either the “Meteora: Morning Half Day Sightseeing and Monasteries Tour” or the “Meteora: Hiking Tour with Local Guide and Monastery Visit.”
After your chosen morning tour, enjoy free time to explore the town of Kalambaka or the nearby village of Kastraki.
- Natural History Museum of Meteora and Mushroom Museum - On the third day, visit the nearby Natural History Museum of Meteora & Mushrooms Museum on your own (following our directions) and redeem your entry ticket (provided upon your arrival).
