In detail, you will help our grandma prepare a local recipe and then you will cook it in our stone stove as locals do. Then you will continue with the rest of the experience. You visit a new olive grove, our chicken house and goats, and you are guided in the museum and the exhibits about the rural life of Ios through the centuries. Last but not least, you enjoy a tasting including ~9 kinds of cheese, 2 kinds of honey, homemade fig marmalade, wine and liqueur combined with dry fruit, breadsticks and tomatoes with olive oil from our olive trees. When you finish you will take away the meal you cooked in a special box to eat on the beach or later!

Cooking class and cheese tasting - Helen was our host. She was very welcoming and kind, she took us through the gardens, pointing out herbs and vegetables. She also answered all our questions with enthusiasm and gave us a guided tour rich with history about the farm. John was a great help, he helped us get eggs from the chickens and made sure we had everything we needed. Thia Froso was delightful and we had a wonderful time cooking with her.
The cheeses, wine and honey were all delicious, and the grounds are beautiful.
