- Firostefani - This village is among the most picturesque spots on the Island, which accounts for its growing popularity among both locals and tourists. It provides stunning panoramic views of the Island and the caldera. Visitors can enjoy accommodations, exquisite restaurants, bars, and various leisure and relaxation options. Firostefani caters to even the most discerning standards and needs, as the Island is a renowned and ideal destination for global celebrities.
- Imerovigli - Make a stop at Imerovigli to discover hidden spots with incredible views of the western parts of the Santorini Caldera. This experience will help distinguish between touristy and non-touristy areas. The modern village stands majestically over an impressive volcano, approximately 300 meters above sea level. It is located about 3 km northwest of Fira on the road to Oia. Besides the paved road, the village is linked to the capital of Santorini by a path offering endless views of the unique volcanic landscape.
- Oia - Oia village is one of the most popular and frequently visited locations in Santorini. Oia is a small town and former community in the South Aegean Sea, on the Islands of Thera in the Cyclades, Greece. It encompasses the entire island of Thirasia and the northwestern part of Santorini, which it shares with the municipal unit of Santorini. Oia is renowned for its breathtaking sunsets, but its sunrise is equally enchanting. The town is the most sought-after spot on the island to witness the sunset, so it can be bustling. Wander through the narrow streets of Oia to capture one photo after another, from houses adorned with pink bougainvillea to church towers silhouetted against the blue Aegean Sea. It’s a delightful place to explore and see what you might discover, with numerous cafes, rooftop bars, art galleries, and boutiques offering local crafts. There are many panoramic viewpoints, including the Castle of St. Nicholas and churches with blue domes. Don’t miss the famous sunset in Oia.
- Red Beach - Red Beach is situated in the southeastern part of the island near the archaeological site of Akrotiri, 14 km from Fira, and is easily accessible by car or bus. At the end of the road is a parking lot next to the charming chapel of Agios Nikolas (St. Nicholas). The short hike to the beach over the rocks from the parking lot can be challenging. If you prefer to avoid the walk and reach Red Beach, you can take a short boat trip from Akrotiri, Kamari, or Perissa. A swim at Red Beach can be combined with a visit to the Akrotiri archaeological site. The best view of the beach is revealed as you approach and depart. From the top of the cliff, there is a breathtaking view of the beach, making it an excellent spot for photography.
- Castelli of Emporio - Emporio village is located in the southern part of Santorini. It is approximately 10 km from Fira, Chora of Santorini, and 12 km from Santorini Airport. Emporio is situated next to the famous black beach of Perissa, just 4 km away. Emporio gives the impression of being in the lowlands, at the foot of the mountain, and its views are those of a valley village, complete with vineyards. The name Emporio (Niborios), which means “trade” in Greek, is the first indication of how significant this village was to the economy of Santorini in medieval times. Emporio is a castle village with one of the best-preserved and most unique medieval castle towns.
- Perissa Black Sand Beach - Perissa is a stunning beach covered in black volcanic sand, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling. It is located on the southeast coast of Santorini and extends at the base of the massive Mesa Vouno promontory, which suddenly emerges into the sea. At the top of the mountain is the ancient city of Thira. Perissa is one of the island’s most cosmopolitan beaches, stretching for miles. It is connected to Perivolos beach, which spans more than 7 kilometers. The water is crystal clear, easy to wade into, and beautiful. The coarse black sand is comfortable to walk on and glistens like glitter. However, summer can be sweltering. Stop at Perissa or Perivolos for a swim or enjoy an optional lunch at a traditional tavern (extra cost).
