The BEST Santorini tour - We had an amazing day with Akis. He showed us what felt like all of Santorini and gave us insight into local life, as well as a thorough history lesson. He is so kind and funny; he kept the day moving with jokes and tidbits. He also was very thoughtful of our pace and tailored the day to suit our interests and abilities. Amongst the many stops, one of my favorites was a winery. There we had a delicious wine tasting and tour of the vineyard. He also showed us around Oia, Fira, Pyrgos, Kamari, and many other towns and sites. He’s also a skilled and enthusiastic photographer!! We had an unforgettable day and highly recommend Golden Ibex!

Santorini Tour experience with Golden Ibex Tours - Our tour experience of Santorini was nothing short of amazing. Akis is the best tour guide you could ask for. His attention to every detail and smooth transition from place to place was amazing. He took very good care of our children and bought them ice cream. I will recommend him any day and will patronize him anytime in Santorini. Shout out to Amani for organizing this tour experience as well. Thank you Golden Ibex Tours.

A truly memorable experience - We had a full day Santorini tour covering some of the main cities, ending with oia. Akis was our guide throughout the whole thing and kept it interesting with his humour and intellect. He was very accommodative and understanding, making sure we got our moneys worth.

Excellent private tour - My family and I have cruised multiple times before and used various other private tour providers. This was by far the best experience we have ever had on a shore excursion. We were able to see parts of the island that really showed the true beauty of Santorini and not just the tourist side. We never felt rushed and were always well taken care of. My son had the best time and says this was his favorite day of our entire trip. This is a must do while in Santorini. Highly recommend!

Magical Night on Santorini - Amani took us on a private tour to experience Easter and see the beautiful small towns of Santorini. Her knowledge of Santorini's history and culture made for an amazing tour. Amani and her husband did everything possible to make this a day to remember. The highlight was watching the Church and Castle in Pyros be lit up by
over a thousand torches on Good Friday Night. It was magical and once in a lifetime experience.

Best tour of our visit to Greece - My wife and I had several tours on our trip to Athens and the islands, and this was by far the best. We booked a 5 hour tour of the Akritori site, a traditional small town, and two wineries to sample their wines. All of it was excellent.
The visit to Akritori was great, even though much of the settlement still hasn’t been excavated, mostly because we had a fantastic guide, Evi, specifically for that part of the tour. She was clear and knowledgeable and gave thoughtful answers, a marked contrast to guides who have a patter and won't substantially answer any questions.
I have nothing but good things to say about Amani and her husband/driver/guide Akis, who is an architect by trade and has a deep understanding of how and why things on Santorini were and are built as they are. They were excellent guides and great company, and they knew who to hand things off to provide us with an expert archaeological tour.
Our five hour tour lasted seven hours because we spent so much time at Akritori. Not only with no complaints but Amani made restaurant recommendations and in one case, making us a reservation for Easter Sunday lunch the next day. And she later checked up on how we liked the restaurant. Nothing but raves here.

Fun day exploring Santorini in December! - Our tour on Santorini with Amani was one of the highlights of our trip. We were picked up on time Christmas morning from our hotel. Right from the beginning Amani was extremely welcoming and kind. Her wealth of knowledge of the history of the island was remarkable and we learned so much in the short time we were able to spend with her. Winter was a wonderful time to visit as we had Oia completely to ourselves and it allowed Amani to walk with us and show us around. Later we asked to shop for local goods. Amani’s good friends were kind enough to open their store on Christmas Day (no other stores were open) for us to shop. They sell ceramics from local artists and Sofia showed us around the store. She and her husband even invited us over for crepes the next day. After a tour of Pyrgos (Amani’s home village) and its fortress we headed down to the black sand beach. Normally the local tavern at the beach is the last stop on the tour but Amani was nervous they wouldn’t be open on Christmas Day. To our surprise (and Amani’s) it was packed with locals and live music! Thanks to Amani we got a table and had a great meal (the lamb chops were amazing!) to finish the day. Amani really went the extra mile to make our tour amazing, not to mention spending her whole Christmas Day with two tourists. If booking we would recommend requesting Amani, she was amazing. This tour is perfect for your first day on the island. You will appreciate the sites and history much more for the rest of your time here.

An Eventful Day in Santorini - My friends and I had a wonderful day touring with Amani. Her knowledge of Santorini and presentation made it easy for you to grasp the information.Enjoyed the pacing of the tour allowing rest periods between the walking tours. Really enjoyed the vineyard and the discovery of the wine “Vinsanto”. Experiencing the taste of a good pizza lunch along the was special.. Thanks again Amani.

Best tour taken in Greece - This was the best tour taken in the week we were in Greece! Our tour guide, Amani was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. During the tour we needed to stop to eat. She took us to her portion of Santorini for lunch. The restaurant she chose was amazing! The food, the atmosphere and the staff were authentic and just what we needed. This tour with Amani was worth the cost and something I would do again. She made you feel as if you were seeing Greece with a friend! We could not have asked for anything more. It was perfect!

Great way to experience Santorini up close on our cruise - Was able to book this at the last minute while on a cruise to Greece as our other excursion through the cruise got cancelled on us. Our guide was lovely, took us through the entire island and provided a lot of insight. She knew where to go first to beat the crowds so we got the best postcard photos to remember our trip. The wine was great and we bought a few bottles to bring home with us. Then she gave us a great recommendation for lunch before we hopped back on the cruise ship. Super easy and relaxed day and we would love to go back due to the great experience.
