Must do experience in Hoi An. - This is a must do experience while in Hoi An and one of our favourite tours done in Vietnam. Our guide Tam was amazing felt like we were hanging out with a mate for the morning and not a tour guide. Loved the glimpse into Vietnamese traditions and local life. Big shout out to Mr Dat the rice wine maker he was awesome. 100% recommend this experience to anyone staying in Hoi An. Thank you Billy & Tam we loved it.

Great tour of local culture from a wonderful guide! - Billy is a fantastic guide and SUPER passionate about food, culture, and sharing his love of Vietnam. We joined his morning sunrise tour and while it was tough to wake up to be ready by 5, it was worth the trip. The sunrise visit to the local fish market was one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam - an kaleidoscope of colors, sounds, smells, something you'd never see elsewhere. His English is really good so it makes it really easy to communicate and he's overall really friendly and helpful guide. It was really fun to have mid-morning coffee and chat about his experiences in Vietnam growing up and hearing about things like conscription and views on politics, culture, etc. He's also a huge foodie, he gave me countless recommendations all over Hoi An, both before, during and after the tour. In fact, the BEST thing we ate on the entire trip was his recommendation of muc chien mam (squid stir fried in fish sauce) at Sau restaurant on Hoi An beach, which we would never have found amongst the crowd of touristy restaurants (ignore the low Google rating for Sau, the restaurant is awesome). Overall, highly recommend if you want to experience something non-touristy from a super friendly enthusiastic guide.

Best tour in Hoi An for early birds and others - This tour is a must have in Hoi An. I was skeptical about the early start time at 5AM but it was absolutely worth it! Billy is an exceptional guide! You can really see and feel how much he cares about his birth town and the people that live in this area! The experience seing fisher arrive after 3 day on sea at the small fisher town is really amazing. Its super busy and vibrant. During the tour we visited multiple places to get to know the people and families and hear about stories and life in the more rural area of vietnam. It was simply amazing! Thank you so much for the tour! I can really recommend it!

Hoi An morning well spent - I loved the before sunrise hidden handicraft tour! Billy has so much local knowledge and an obvious passion for Hoi An, and theres no way I could have experienced all that we did without him. From the gorgeous sunrise on the bridge overlooking the islands, to the hustle and bustle of the fishing village, then learning about the delicious fish sauce (nuoc mam and mam nem 😋), being welcomed into the home of the adorable and talented rice wine maker, meeting the hard-working, sweet mat weavers, the generous and patient noodle maker and then learning all the local history and personalised recommendations from Billy, this tour has it all. I'm so glad I could visit all those amazing places and learn so much about Hoi An. This was definitely a highlight of my Vietnam trip. I would recommend this tour to anyone - groups, couples or solo travellers.

The tour is very interactive and insightful, but also calm and very comfortable. Billy the tour guide was very friendly and Knowledgeable, which made the tour even better as we all chatted the whole tour and over coffee ! 100% recommend and well worth getting up early to see the beautiful sunrise and fish market.

Must Do Hoi An Sunrise Tour! - One of the best tours I have experienced ever (and I've been for many)! I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Hoi An for any amount of time. We are not early risers, but waking at 4.30am was well worth it. We started the tour with the fish market (amazing to see the chaos and fishermen bringing their harvests in fresh from the sea); then we visited some local families / businesses who make fish sauce, rice wine, rice paper, and do mat weaving. We got to try doing weaving and making rice paper too. Storytelling was superb -- in particular, we really enjoyed visiting Mr Dao, the rice wine maker, and had a unique story to share about why he started making rice wine and his time with the war. The tour would not have been as fantastic without our guide Emily, who clearly had built a strong relationship with the families over her years working in tourism, and taught us a lot about Hoi An / Vietnam in general. She speaks fluent English and answered all our questions very well. Tour aside, Billy was very accommodating before the tour because I had to change the timing, which he was able to arrange for us. I am also vegan, and they were able to accommodate me foodwise for breakfast and the tea/snacks! 100% recommend this tour -- super value for money with the amount of things you get to see and learn, and there is no chance we could have done this without Billy/Emily. We'd definitely book with them again if we return. 5🌟

Hoi An Will Forever Be One of Our Favorite Places - We are an American family of 3, who visited Vietnam for the first time this summer and had the most memorable time! Since none of spoke Vietnamese, planning our trip was initially a little intimating, but that all changed when we found Billy on Tripadvisor. He was easy to work with from the beginning, took great care of us while we were in Vietnam, and continued to follow up even after we left Vietnam. We truly felt like we were visiting families and friends while we were in Hoi An. We booked 5 tours with Billy: Hoi An street food tour, My Son Sanctuary sunrise tour, coconut basket boat + Tra Que Garden tour, Marble Mountain tour, and the hidden handicraft destinations in Hoi An before sunrise. All of them were so special to us - from the local people we met, to the history we learned, the stories we heard, the rice noodles we made, the pigs we fed, the water buffalo we rode, the food we tried, and most importantly, the connections we made. Thank you, Billy, Emily, and everyone else on your team, for such unforgettable memories! We will be thinking about this trip and talking about it for a very long time.

Awesome! - Amazing tour! Amazing experience! It was really refreshing, time away from the bustling city. We got to visit the local fish market, fish sauce factory, rice wine factory (where the owner had a touching story), weaving factory (where we got to engage in making the straw mats) & noodle making. Trang was also an awesome tour guide. Super friendly! 100/10 recommend going on this tour when you’re in Danang/hoi an!

Unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience meeting Vietnamese locals and artisans - We had an excellent experience with Emily. With so many super touristy things to do in Hoi An, meeting local people, getting an understanding of the lives people lead, and learning about the life cycle of the food we eat, this was a breath of fresh air. You have the rest of the day to sleep when you're back at your hotel or Airbnb, so don't let the early morning hour dissuade you. It is worth it to get to see the fishermen at the wharf. This is a very interactive tour where you'll get a chance to do a little weaving to more fully appreciate what hard work these artisans do for very little money. We got to make noodles and see the multistep process for those, too. But my favorite part was tasting the various types of rice wine and then hearing Mr. Doh singing and playing the guitar. He's got a fascinating story, and you should take this tour if only to hear about him! Thank you, Emily, for a fabulous experience!
