- Thesee, Ruins of a Gallo-Roman Settlement - Our journey begins in Tasciaca, a city dating back to around year 0. Known for its clay pots and containers, this Gallo-Roman city has been producing and selling wine for 2000 years. Your guide will share the story of Tasciaca on site.
- Bourre - This location is famous for its limestone quarries, which provided the blocks used to build cathedrals and chateaux throughout the Loire Valley.
- Montrichard - In Montrichard, you’ll experience the ambiance of a medieval town. Your guide will share various passionate stories about the significance of these places. You’ll also learn to distinguish between medieval and Renaissance-style castles.
- Chateau de Chenonceau - After a bike ride along the river and through the forest, we’ll arrive at a breathtaking Renaissance château. Savor a delicious picnic lunch featuring the finest local foods from the Cher Valley right in front of this magnificent sight! Could you dream of a better view? You’ll also have the opportunity to walk along the river to admire Chenonceau and its elegant arches.

This ebike guided tour along the Cher River to the Château de Chenonceau is a great way to experience the best of what the Loire Valley has to offer. With stunning scenery, rich history, and delicious food, it’s an unforgettable experience. Your local guide will show you charming villages, typical houses and stunning landscapes. The area is steeped in history, and you will discover historical landmarks along the way. Cruise through the scenic valley on a refreshing bike ride. Your journey ends with a gourmet picnic lunch fit for a king (or queen!). Savor delicious local cheeses and a crisp bottle of regional wine with a picture-perfect view of the stunning Château de Chenonceau. It’s a very good way to experience the best of the region. If you enjoy cycling, history, and good food, this ride could be perfect. The total duration of the tour is 4,5 hours (roundtrip) It does not include the visit of the inside of the chateau.
- The total distance you will be riding is 36 kms for a total duration of 4,5 hours. This include the time taken during different stops and for the picnic lunch.
- The visit of the inside of the chateau is not included. It would last another 2 hours. You have the possibility to visit it at the end of the tour, on your own, once we returned our bikes. Tickets are sold at the northern entrance of Chenonceau or online.
- The picnic is served in the southern bank of the river, by the forest, facing the emblematic Renaissance castle. It is not possible to access to the inside from this side. Public entrance and ticket office are on the other side of the Cher River.
