Number 1 Bangkok tour - Best trip we have ever booked via Viator, Bob was an amazing guide. He knew all the best photo spots and gave us lots of info about the different temples. We had ice cream breaks and time to shop for souvenirs which was great. We had decided to do a river cruise in the evening instead of going back to our cruise ship and Bob went the extra mile and made sure we got there on time and helped us check in. 10/10 would recommend :)

Bangkok in a few hours - The reason I would not recommend this trip is that the distance between the port and Bangkok is 2 hours of driving. We were picked up by a nonEnglish speaking driver, who we later learned was named Tik, after considerable confusion in the industrial port of Laem Chabang and driven to Bangkok where we picked up our somewhat anxious guide, Panu. The first part was unsettling and awkward. But Panu got us moving right away and we went directly to the Grand Palace which was amazing. Then we visited a series of Buddhist Temples from War Arum to War Phra Kaew. Panu was earnest in his attempt to help us understand the significance of each thing we saw. It was a day rich with experiences but also pretty exhausting.

Wouldn't recommend - It would appear that two companies were involved in this tour. The driver company did what was expected, when it was expected. However, the tour side was chaotic and had overstretched themselves with no tour guide or tickets at the first stop, meaning we had no choice but to pay in ourselves, without a guide, even though it was included (later reimbursed), we lost a lot of time waiting for tickets and the guide, constantly been told to wait 10 mins, 10 mins, 10 mins, eventually having to have a row before we actually got a tour guide before we could proceed with the tour. Not what you want!
