Tikal National Park - For your upcoming adventure, transportation will be arranged from Mundo Maya Airport upon your flight’s arrival, or from Isla de Flores or El Remate on the way to Tikal.
The ancient Mayan city of Tikal, situated in the municipality of Flores, in the department of Petén, is the largest pre-Hispanic settlement in Guatemala, with a population that may have reached 100,000 at its peak.
Tikal boasts approximately 5,000 pre-Hispanic structures spread over an area of about 16 km², with only 5% restored and open for visitors.
Tikal is a prime example of the typical Mayan central lowland architectural style, featuring stunning temples in the form of step pyramids, such as the Great Jaguar (Temple I).
The Tikal exploration is planned to last 3 to 4 hours, allowing time for photos, climbing structures, and taking breaks.
After exploring the enchanting city of Tikal, a delightful lunch is prepared for you, followed by transportation to your hotel or Mayan World Airport.
