- Sanctuary of Poseidon - The Sanctuary of Poseidon in Tinos Greece, Cyclades: One of the most important sanctuaries of Poseidon in the ancient times was located in Tinos, in a walking distance from the beach of Kionia. In fact, Tinos was the only island of the Cyclades that has dedicated an entire temple to Poseidon, the god of the sea. Along with him, his wife, the sea nymph Amphitrite, was also being worshiped.
- Kardiani - Kardiani Tinos: Kardiani village is a beautiful picturesque village, and certainly the greenest one of Tinos. It lies on the slopes of Mount Pateles, 16 km northwest of Chora.
Built in the shade of luxuriant verdure of plane and olive trees, this lovely village has picturesque stone paved narrow alleys, whitewashed steps, wonderful arches and magnificent traditional whitewashed old houses with flat roofs, colourful windows and doors and courtyards and balconies full of bright flowers.
Most of those superb houses are made of marble and never fail to charm every visitor with their beautiful, spare lines. A stream runs through the village and cool water gushes out of the glimmering springs that adorn the village. Kardiani is a real marvel, among the prettiest villages of Tinos.
- Isternia - Isternia is a traditional village built amphitheatrically in the slope of the mountain Meroviglia, overlooking the island of Syros and offering particularly picturesque views at sunset. It is a village of white houses and paved alleys, filled with many visible sculptures and works of art. The entire village serves as anopen airmuseum of fine marble sculpture. Actually, Isternia has a long tradition in sculpture and is the birthplace of many famous Greek sculptors like Vitalis, Latena and Sochou. Worth visiting sights include the Museum of Isternian Artists, the church of Agia Paraskevi, the ruined windmills on the north side of the village and the beautiful marble paved road that connects the village with the Isternia bay.
- Giannoulis Halepas Museum - Pyrgos is the birthplace of many famous Tinian artists like Chalepas, Filippotis, Lytras and others. It is one of the largest and most beautiful villages in Tinos. The first thing you will notice when visiting Pyrgos is the marble creations. Marble exists everywhere you look in the village, on sculptures, above the house doors, on the fountains, even on the tables of the small kafeneios in the main square. This lavish use of marble makes Pyrgos an outdoor architectural museum and a unique place to visit. In Pyrgos you will find the museum of the world famous sculptor Giannoulis Chalepas, the Museum of Fine Arts and the modern Museum of Marble Art.
- Panormos - The port of Panormos played a catalytic role in shipping and trade until the early 60s. It was a transfer station for exported products ( marble from Exo Meria) and imported goods (mainly wheat, which supplied the windmills). In the late 19th century, the mining of talc started and a steam processing plant was created. There was also a shipyard for wooden boats and ships.During the war it was an information center and a station through which military and political forces were propelled to the Middle East. It was bombed in 1941 and all the boats docked were destroyed but three years later, it was the first area of the Cyclades to be officially liberated. The islet located just across is the isle “Planet” with a dilapidated lighthouse (which worked first time in 1886 and it is a listed historical monument). The buoy, the marble column at the sea for 120 years now, has been warning sailors for the reef hidden beneath it.
