Kindness and care - Excellent experience with Albanian Trip: our private tour guide Ervin is a great guy and was always making sure we had a good time. He took us to a few places we had requested to visit but also to some hidden gems, explaining everything and giving us his personal view and experience about Albania. Totally recommend!

An overlooked but fascinating aspect of Albania - I did the Bunkers and Beaches day trip with Albanian Trip, and had an absolutely wonderful experience — as a travel editor, my day trips entail a lot of questions and photography, and my guide Elton was both patient and very knowledgeable about both Albania's seemingly countless bunkers and its history overall. He even tweaked the itinerary to accommodate my preferences, introducing me to hidden gems and aspects of local life along the way. Highly recommended!

A greta day, organised by true professionals - We had a fantastic day on this tour, even though it was winter and beaches were clearly not going to be part of the plan! I had extensive pre-trip contact with Elton to ask some questions about changes to the itinerary and these were all discussed honestly, with pros and cons exchanged. We agreed on a plan and a date and Elton accomodated as much of what we'd suggested as was practical - I could tell we were dealing with professionals. In the planning stage I’d asked to skip the Bunkart museums as we’d booked a tour for the day before this one which covered those off, so Elton suggested some alternatives. As it turned out, the Bunkart 2 museum had been unexpectedly closed without notice when we got there the day before, so we’d not actually visited it and we REALLY wanted to and wouldn't be able to any other daylater in the trip without knocking something else off the schedule. We mentioned this at the start of the day when Ervin met us at our apartment and he was so flexible in amending the itinerary so we could get in there – we ended up having a private tour with a great guide there – Artemisa. It's a fascinating place and speaks to the paranoia of the Hoxha regime. Today it is surrounded by residential apartments, but back when it was built in the 70's as Hoxha's fear of invasion was peaking, it lay outside of Tirana and virtually none of the population even knew it existed.
When we were leaving I noticed from the car park that the Dajti cable car was close by, so he suggested we should quickly drive up there and he spoke to the ticket seller to check the opening times for the next day when we had planned to go. That turned out to be a great help as it turned out it was closing an hour earlier than published on the website, so we were able to change our plans so we didn’t get caught out. When we then mentioned we’d visited a nearby shop during the previous day’s walking tour and left a heavy purchase for later collection, he called in there too, just so we could bung it in the back of the car and not have to lug it back to our apartment – so thoughtful. I was further surprised when he turned up after a little break with a birthday gift for me, which was totally unecpected and a lovely gesture. Hopefully you are getting the picture that these guys are the real deal and you can put your faith in them!
The highlights of the day for me were the visit to their Red Star villa to chat with Elton and Ervin over coffee and raki, about life under Hoxha’s regime and check out the artefacts from that time – we even got given a couple of posters – another lovely touch. The trip to the farm was amazing, the woman who prepared all the delicious home made food sat and chatted with us – with Ervin doing United Nations style simultaneous translation (!). It was a fascinating visit and we could have stayed there hours! The wine she’d made to serve with the meal was amazing and yes, you guessed it, she gave us a bottle.
All our changes to the schedule meant that as we headed back from the farm to the House of Leaves, the ‘secret police’ museum, we were really cutting it fine. Then traffic hit as we got to Tirana and we only rocked up there 25 minutes before closing. Anyhow, we got in and visited a few rooms, but then the security guard came up and said it was closing and we needed to go. A few words from Ervin and he marked our tickets and said we could come back the next day and re-enter for no extra charge, which was a nice gesture. We took advantage of that and got to see it all, but I know it would have been better still with Ervin talking us through everything. Never mind, it was entirely down to our ‘extras’ that we didn’t get there on time!
It was a great day, arranged to perfection by professionals who didn’t care a jot if they had to turn 360 and do something completely different to the plan we thought we had at the start of the day. Their care and attention to detail was second to none and if I am back in Albania again I can say with 100% certainty that they will be top of my list for another tour.

Fun day out - Had a great day out. It started with a guided tour Bunk'art and we practically had the place to ourselves. It's a must see. Then we went to a farm in between Tirana and Durres and we were served so much food with alcohol - wonderful. Then we went off to the Cape of Rodon with is glorious scenery. Ervin was very cheerful and a great guide. I would happily choose Albanian Trip again for another tour when I next go to Albania

Suffocating.... drown in bad attitude - I took this private tour, making it clear that I will be filming documentary about the topic.
Vilma is the first one who reply but she didn't have any idea of the trip and took a while to pass me on to her college, Elton
Elton seems to understood what I wanted and said ' we've worked with journalist, youtuber and influencer before, we knows how it's done and will provide you with the proper guide for the job'
The priced changed 3 times more and more, 5 mins said including lunch, 5 minutes later not.
I didn't mind and agree to pay as Im running out of option.
The next morning of the pick-up, Vilma got the name wrong as there were 2 similar hotels which wouldn't be a big deal if she, instead of fixing and be a bit apologetic, but she chose to blame me for her mistake and kept texting me nonstop like I owned this trip to her as she did me a favor and so on and so I blocked her and unlocked again cuz I need the invoice lol.
My guide was always in a bad mood, he crashed the car into the fence and cursed multiple times and kept cursing.
He told me in a very rude way to not put his face in the video which I respected and didn't do it. Although I assumed otherwise as I was very transparent about this trip since the beginning and informed people who needed ti be informed. His Word choices could be improve as he was very very rude.
But lucky him, I did tip or not I don't know hahaha cuz he sent me a thank you message for the tips. Maybe I accidentally did as I've been traveling for few weeks and got tired 😀
Elton later told me that u should have told him...well with the hot hated guide who had to drive you to remote places and you a solo female... I wouldn't lol
Overall experience is -100 however I got what I need only in a very rough manner possible.
It's hard to talk to guide as well although very knowledgeable but very rough and rude. His attitude of know it all and he's better than anyone else is very suffocating.
Well this is my personal experience.
