Authentic Albanian cooking class 👩🏼‍🍳 - This cooking class with Dervis was an absolute highlight! He created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, sharing fascinating insights into Albanian food and culture in a beautifully curated space. The experience was filled with amazing flavors: we tasted authentic Albanian rakia, his delicious homemade marmalade, and learned how to make the best borek I’ve ever had. The hands-on approach made it fun and easy to follow, with plenty of laughs along the way. We left with full stomachs, leftovers, and new cooking skills. Whether you’re a foodie or just curious about Albanian cuisine, this class is a must!

Traditional Albanian Food with Dervis - The cooking class in Tirana was such a great experience! The class was so much fun and the burek we made was on a completely different level compared to anything you can find in the city—simply outstanding. Dervis has a real talent for teaching and a deep love for Albanian cuisine. He made the class fun, engaging, and easy to follow, even if you’re not an experienced cook. If you’re visiting Tirana, I highly recommend this class. It’s a perfect way to spend an evening, enjoy amazing food, and learn more about the Albanian culture.

Fabulous way to learn about Albania! - A wonderful representation of some of Albania's best hits! I particularly enjoyed the prep of Burek as this is served all over the Balkans and I learned how to handle the pastry. I got exactly what I hoped to from this class and highly recommend. Do not come full!

Cooking Traditional Albanian Dishes with Dervis - Food has always been at the heart of my life, so when I visited Albania, I knew I had to dive into its culinary traditions. This was my second time in Albania, and I’ve developed a deep appreciation for its culture, history, and—of course—its food. I signed up for Dervis' cooking class because I wanted to learn how to make a few of the dishes I had come to love here. Dervis did not disappoint. He guided us through making tave kosi and sheqerpare, all while sharing fascinating insights about Albanian gastronomy and its traditions. It felt like stepping into the heart of Albania with each dish. Beyond the cooking, I loved the warm, engaging conversations and the chance to meet other like-minded food enthusiasts. The ingredients were incredible, too—honey, marinated cherries and oranges, olive oil, rakia, and mountain tea—all made by Dervis’ family. It added an authentic touch that you rarely find in cooking classes. If you’re passionate about food, culture, and good company, Dervis’ cooking class is an experience you won’t want to miss.

Exellent - An evening in great family company, with cozy music and a traditional Albanian dance at the end. We prepared delicious meals, with the technical knowledge of cooking. The largefamily atmosphere was made even more memorable by the international group, the packed meals - with plenty of local food and home-made drinks -which was eaten the next day by me. Our wonderful host and his family providing the calm and mirricle background. All my appreciation to the members of the young family and to the parents who raised them with true values.
