Our journey will commence with a stopover at Apollonia, known as one of the most substantial archaeological parks in Albania. Originally a Greek colony with significant Illyrian influence, Apollonia casts a spell over its visitors. Its unique charm is woven from its distinct historical monuments, archaeological treasures, and unrepeatable Mediterranean scenery. As one of Albania’s most renowned and consequential ancient cities, Apollonia holds much historical value. Following our exploration of Apollonia, we’ll head to the Divjake-Karavasta National Park. Home to the grand Karavasta Lagoon (Albanian: Laguna e Karavastasë), the largest in Albania and one of the most expansive in the Mediterranean Sea, the park is listed as a Ramsar site of international significance. Divjaka-Karavasta National Park is the biggest non-coastal complex in Albania.
