The history and stunning decorations of the mosque will be explored. Nearby stands the Clock Tower, another emblem of old Tirana and once its tallest building. The tour will also cover other historical landmarks such as the National Bank of Albania, the National Museum, Hotel Tirana, the Palace of Culture, and Tirana Municipality.
• Bank of Albania Museum - The National Historical Museum offers various sections detailing Albania’s history. The journey starts from ancient times, showcasing the land’s habitation since prehistory, through the Hellenistic and Roman periods, and continues to modern history, including independence, the kingdom, and communist eras.
• BunkArt 2 - The day proceeds with a visit to Bunk Art 2, an exceptional museum that immerses visitors in the authentic communist atmosphere and highlights the system’s atrocities.
• Rruga Murat Toptani - The route passes by the Bunk Art 2 museum, the Castle of Toptani, and the Prince’s Residence, continuing past the House of Parliament and the new Mosque, the largest in the Balkans, which is still under construction.
• Bulevardi Dëshmorët e Kombit - A leisurely walk along Tirana’s Main Boulevard will include sights such as the Pyramid, the Dictator Hoxha’s Museum posthumously, the Prime Ministry, Presidency, Parliament Offices, University, Academy of Arts, National Stadium, and more.
• Blloku - Formerly the residential area for communist leaders, Ex-Blloku was off-limits to ordinary citizens. The tour will pass by Hoxha’s house, where he resided during his rule over Communist Albania. Visitors will gain insight into the significance of this area during the communist era and its transformation into one of the most lively and impressive spots in Tirana today.

Our tour will then take us to the heart of Tirana, where the Historical Museum awaits, offering insights into Albania’s past, from antiquity to the present day.

As we wander through the city center, we’ll delve into the histories of Tirana’s key structures as we pass the Main Square, the Pyramid, the Main Boulevard, and the Blloku area, which includes Hoxha’s home. We’ll divulge fascinating details and anecdotes from the times we personally lived through.
