- Kruja Castle - Join a guided tour of Kruja city to explore all its iconic attractions. Visit Kruja Castle, Skanderbeg’s Museum, the Old Bazaar, and Sari Salltik mountain.
We will pick you up from the hotel and start the tour to Kruja city. After around one hour driving you are in Kruja and we continue the first visit to the Castle of Kruja, which houses Skanderbeg’s Museum. It was the epicenter of the legendary Albanian resistance to the Ottomans, led by national hero Skanderbeg in the 15th century.
See a copy of the helmet and the sword of Scanderbeg in the main hall, the flags and stems of prominent families of that time who supported the national hero and a lot of the history telling by the guide.
- Ethnographic Museum of Kruja - The Ethnographic Museum, recently renovated and now open for visits, is housed in an old Ottoman-era residence. This museum offers a glimpse into the lifestyle of the region during that historical period
- Sari Salltik - Finally, driving by car on a panoramic mountain road to visit the holy site of Sari Salltik. Head to this cave located on the edge of a mountain 1176 meters high and also enjoy the amazing view from the top of the mountain.
- Old Bazaar (Pazari i Vjeter) - After soaking in the culture and history, discover the current arts and crafts in the Old Bazaar. Look for souvenirs, including intricate local handicrafts.

Awesome tour, great tour guide and driver! - Big thanks to our tour guide Deo and the (best!) driver for taking us to lovely Kruje. We really enjoyed learning about the history of wonderful Albania. The way our tour guide told us all the stories and facts was very engaging and interesting. Nice person and kindly answering our questions also. The way up the Sarisalltik mountain was impressive, the views amazing. Visit at the temple humbling. Highly recommended. Generous price for a great experience.

Great Day Out in Kruja! - I had the best time in Kruja with my tour guide, Bledi. He was very knowledgeable about historical, cultural, and religious changes in Albania. He was very kind, accommodating, and hospitable. He took his time to explain everything, so the tour didn't feel rushed or regimented. An absolute 10/10 for me!

Trip to Kruja - IT was a wonderful Trip, verry interesting. Deo was a great guide and a very good driver!He answered all Our questions and show us wonderful places. We had enough time for all attractions.

Beautiful Berat - Smart Tour Albania is a great company. I went on this tour with them and also the tour to Kruja. Viator would be wise to keep booking with them, since Viator confirmed another tour to Apollonia for me and that tour operator is no longer in business - latest postings showed it was last online in 2020. Viator - please do a better job for travelers in the future, but keep booking with Smart Tour Albania - they are the best in customer service and follow through.

Great! - Highly recommend. Antonio was a fantastic guide - knowledgeable, kind and informative. Don’t miss the new Ethnographic Museum at Kruje Castle (not included but you can do it in your free time there). It was WONDERFUL.
Just a note - apparently when you book there is a place to note your desired pickup location. I completely missed that somehow. It worked out fine in the end, but just look for that so you’re not scrambling before the tour like me!!!

Not worth it - Little to see in both Kruja and Tirana. High prices on any souvenir, even higher prices than in Spain.

Poor communication - This might have been a good tour but we never found out, since there was very poor communication regarding the pick-up point. My son and myself waited for 45 minutes at one of the pick-up points mentioned in the tour description but the tour bus did not arrive (the same company arrived in a bus going to another destination, who told us just to wait). I had been contacted at 22.55pm the night before (having booked a week or so earlier) to inform me that we were to meet in another location (30 minutes walk from our hotel), since we had not specified a location for pick-up, but I did not check my phone at this time of night. There was no indication on the website that we needed to contact the tour company to inform them of the preferred pick-up point, simply that tickets would be sent prior to the tour. Likewise, there was nothing on the tickets to indicate we needed to contact the tour company regarding pick-up. We were contacted by the guide, the morning of the tour, to inform us that we had not arrived at the pick-up point, but since we were walking to the other pick up point, this was too late.
