Incredible experience - I had an incredible experience on this tour! The organization was perfect, and I was able to visit some truly beautiful places. Each stop was more stunning than the last. The food was absolutely amazing – a real highlight of the trip! I can't thank you enough for putting everything together so perfectly. Highly recommend!

Ohrid trip - Gazi was great guide and explained us all about the Ohrid history. Drive is 3 hours each way so get ready for the trip, also check your passports and visas as there is border crossing. Ohrid is beautiful, old city and churches are worth to see.

A great day in and around Ohrid - What a great day with some amazing views, wonderful weather, really good company and a brilliant guide/driver. I cannot praise Marsuel enough for his driving, guiding and warm personality. The trip was helped by there only being two visitors meaning we had use of a very comfortable car and flexibility as to where we stopped and for how long. And add to that some amazing sights and scenery on what was my first visit to Macedonia a place I will definitely go back to in the future.

Great tour guide - The trip was amazing. Only 3 of use and the guide Taulant was excellent. He showed us all the hidden gems. The views were incredible. The cooler weather made it more enjoyable. Recommend if you can go.

Beautiful Ohrid, Absent Struga, Average tour - Late in the evening 11/17, I was told that my tour for the next day was cancelled and was asked to move my tour to 11/19 which threw the rest of my plans off. But I did so because I wanted to go see this area. I was told that there wasn't space on any of the company's tours on this open day that I now had. While tour guide Marsuel was a nice, young 21 yo man, he smokes at each stop and while walking so the scent of smoke remains on him. Yes, he drives fast as Lincoln S. said (we were on the same tour) but I learned that many Albanians drive like crazy people during my time in the country. My tour did not stop in Struga as it advertises, and I was disappointed. Why was this not offered on the day I went? Yet my price was not reduced. We did not go into the advertised mosque either. Marsuel said that we could go into the mosque that was near our lunch stop if we wanted to during our free time !?! At the St. John Cathedral I had to tell the tour guide that the entrance fee was included per the information from the tour company because he said that we had to pay to go inside, and then he paid it. Lunch was delicious at a local Albanian restaurant. Ohrid is a beautiful city to visit. I'll take the words of others that Struga is also beautiful.

North Macedonia was Beautiful, Driver was unsafe - we hit something twice and almost killed a dog - North Macedonia is beautiful and the lunch was beautiful and included! The driver Marsuel was a little crazy - he's 21 and drove into a parking curb, almost hit a big dog and bumped into a motorcycle all in one day. He told me and the other guest every 3 days he gets pulled over by the police and needs to negotiate to not have to pay. Please find another driver for these tours, he was constantly smoking in my face, I wanted to give a better review, but the best I can say is that this was a below average to average tour. It was not a bad tour but it was uncomfortable about 5x times throughout the tour. I am a seasoned world traveler and it takes a lot to upset me. Please slow down Marsuel and you will get better reviews. Also please arrive at the meeting points when you say you will, after lunch we had free time and were told to meet at 2:50pm, I waited until 3:03pm and the driver and other guest finally met up with me at the meeting point, that was so uncomfortable not knowing if they left or if something happened to them. North Macedonia is worth it, but I won't be booking again with Albanian local tours, the other tour guest also mentioned her booking was moved to my booking date so they would have at least two guests, book if you want, but it might get moved if you are the only guest. Sorry not sorry.

Nice guide didn't make up for poor tour operator - 3 stars because the actual destination was beautiful, the guide was kind & the food was good. I am rating it poorly because the tour operator was not professional at all. I chose where to be picked up & the operator agreed. 7:30 that day I was the only person on the street where I was due to be picked up. We had agreed on the pickup location & I had received a text that the guide was on the way so I put my cell phone in my pocket assuming that since I was the ONLY person sitting in front of the hotel at 7:30 & the street was empty I was obvious to the guide. At nearly 7:45 I received a call from the tour operator yelling into the phone "turn on your WIFI the driver has been trying to call you for 20 min". They they argued with me that I was not where I was supposed to be & then hung up on me when I said I had my WIFI on. The driver arrived in his car & there were 3 adults in the car & I was to crammed into the backseat with the 2 other adults. Car was unmarked & here was no way to tell that this was the tour. The guide only spoke to us when we engaged him until we crossed into N. Macedonia. Then he gave some facts & info about N. Macedonia. The sites were beautiful but he gave us info that we could have read from the notes outside the sites. Lunch was very good but on the way back to Albania we were rear-ended & the guide didn't ask if anyone was ok before he jumped out of the car to see if it was OK. We all were, (achy backs) but he didn't say anything on the way back. We all tipped him. When I arrived back I received an ad from the tour company for the following day. No asking if we were ok - no mention of the accident. When I wrote back that I thought it was reprehensible that they would send an ad instead of seeing if we were ok the tour operator argued with me about how they picked me up despite me being in the wrong place. This was untrue & they were unapologetic saying the accident was nothing. I use Viator often & I would not recommend this tour company.

Ohrid is worth a visit, but I'd choose a different tour operator. - Picked up from the hotel on time, though I was supposed it was in a normal car with 5 strangers squeezed in together rather than a minibus. The lake and churches in Ohrid were beautiful, however we didn't stop in Struga as advertised. I also felt our guide (Gazi) didn't really tell us anything about the sights and there was a lot of awkward silences...We were then in a minor car accident on the drive back to Tirana (this was not our guide's fault), and he didn't once ask if we were ok afterwards and just sat in silence the whole drive back to Tirana.

Disappointed - Be very careful driving in Albania. It’s typical that drivers exceed speed limits. Dogs openly roam the roads, and obvious negative consequences are seen throughout. The historical sights were amazing but do your research ahead of time so you don’t depend on the tour guide’s knowledge. Albania is beautiful, with a complicated history.
