Berat Castle - Constructed on a hill 187 meters high during the 5th-7th century BC, the houses were built first, followed by protective walls. The walls stretch 1400 meters with a surface area of 10 hectares. Historical records indicate it has been attacked numerous times. In antiquity, it was known as Antipatrea in 216 BC. The Romans referred to it as Albanorum Oppidium, meaning the castle of Arber. The castle has a triangular shape when viewed from above. Inside, there are many churches and mosques, most of which were damaged during the dictatorship. It features four gates and is the only inhabited castle in the Balkans.
National Iconographic Museum Onufri - Named “Onufri” in honor of the Albanian painting master of the 16th century, this cathedral was rebuilt in 1797 and is the most representative monument of past zonetime architecture in Berat. The museum’s collection includes 179 objects selected from a fund of 1500 items, belonging to the Albanian Churches and Monasteries.

The houses built along the steep hill give Mangalem its nickname, the city of floating windows.

Gorica Bridge - One of the oldest and most popular Ottoman bridges in Albania, built by Ahmet Kurt Pasha in 1780. Initially constructed of wood, it was rebuilt with stone in 1920. It connects the two parts of Berat, Mangalem and Gorica.
Gorica - Across the Osumi River lies the Gorica neighborhood, established in the 17th century with around 200 houses. A major earthquake in 1851 destroyed most structures, which were rebuilt in the 19th century.
