An interesting fact is that it was also known as the “Independence Dish” because it was a favorite of Ismail Qemali, the first Albanian Prime Minister after the 1912 Independence. Just great.. - Sometimes in life you are presented with a moment that just has to be grabbed with two hands. Cindy / Sindi (sp) was an excellent ambassador for cooking and Albanian traditions. The class was informative and enjoyable in the extreme. The home made wine was exceptional ( well done dad) and the cooking / eating in the alfresco setting , surrounded by fig trees is hard to replicate in most countries. Rose hip tea ( made with real rose hips)and an experiment to prove wooden cooking boards don't burn. This was a great experience. Faleminderit Sindi / Cindy.,

A 5-Star Cooking Class in Tirana! - This cooking class was wonderful! Our class was small, just two of us, so we got a lot of quality time to connect with and learn from Sindi. I really enjoyed how hands on the class was. We were doing majority of the prep and cooking ourself, more than other cooking classes I’ve taken. Sindi gave very clear instructions and was patient, funny, engaging, and personable. The meal choices were delicious, especially the Tave Kosi, and I feel very confident leaving the class that I could replicate the recipes at home. I felt like I learned a lot about Albanian food and culture from this experience. Overall a wonderful experience that I highly recommend if you enjoy cooking and eating!

Fantastic Cooking Class in Tirana! - This cooking class is a fantastic event to do while visiting Tirana! Chef Sindi is smart and funny, she taught us how to cook a traditional Albanian meal in a professional home setting, very organized, and super fun. We attended as a couple, and the class was 7 in total, we bonded quickly and had a wonderful time as a group. This is a hands-on class, we learned how to make meal and vegetarian casseroles, a spinach pastry, and cookies. We started at 13.00 and ended at around 18.00. Highly recommend!!

The recipes are not that complicated but the food was nice and ofc there was wine and raki as well. I would recommend this activity 100%! It's a great way to learn about albanian culture and enjoying some traditional food.
