- Zvernec Monastery - At about 10 am we will arrive at Zvërnec, Narta lagoon. The island where the Monastery is located is connected to the land through a very picturesque and unique wooden bridge 270 m long, where we will walk across the Zvërneci lagoon with the morning sun. The monastery is built during the 13 century and is dedicated to Mary….
- Zvernec Monastery - At about 10 am we will arrive at Zvërnec, Narta lagoon. The island where the Monastery is located is connected to the land through a very picturesque and unique wooden bridge 270 m long, where we will walk across the Zvërneci lagoon with the morning sun. The monastery is built during the 13 century and is dedicated to Mary. During communism time was used for military purposes, hence its beautiful frescos are deteriorated and in need of immediate restoration.
- Kanine Castle - After wondering about 1 hour visiting the monastery and the island we will head towards Vlora, where we will visit the Kanina fortress with a magnificent view of Vlora bay, Narta Lagoon, Karaburun peninsula, Adriatik, and Iranian Sea.
- Vlore - Now we will visit the old heart of Vlora town and explain its history. Vlora is the city of our independence and it has an important role in our past and present. The port of Vlora is one of the most important on the Adriatic Sea and the rocky coast of the Ionian sea is one the most visited during summertime. Recently the historical part of Vlora is renovated, which we are going to visit.

Today, we’ll be exploring Vlora, a bright gem among Albanian towns, hugged by both the Adriatic and Ionian seas. We’ll start our journey at the Zvërnec area within the Narta Lagoon. Accessible via a picturesque wooden bridge 270 meters in length, we’ll take a serene morning walk across the lagoon. Here, we’ll find a monastery dating back to the 13th century, dedicated to Mary. During the communist era, it was used for military objectives and, unfortunately, its stunning frescoes have suffered decay and are in urgent need of restoration. Our journey continues to Vlora where we will ascend to the Kanina fortress and be awed by the breathtaking view of Vlora Bay. We’ll then explore the historic heart of Vlora and delve into the town’s rich past.
