- Tirana County - Upon reaching the winery, guests will receive a warm welcome from the enthusiastic host. This area is renowned for the warm hospitality of local winemakers, who are eager to share their distinctive wines and winemaking methods with visitors. Guests will tour the vineyard, learning about the history of winemaking in Albania and the unique local grape varieties that flourish in the region. The blend of Mediterranean climate and the central Albania region’s microclimate offers perfect conditions for grape cultivation, making it a truly exceptional location. The region is home to some of the 100 native grape varieties such as: Vlosh, Kallmet, Shesh, Pula, Mjaltëz, and Kryqës. Guests will also have the chance to explore the wine cellar, where the family crafts and ages their wines, before proceeding to the tasting room. They will enjoy 3 glasses of distinct wines paired with a delightful selection of local snacks.

Great way to learn about Albanian wine - One of the main reasons I came to Albania was to try the local wine and this tour was the best way to do that. We got to sample four different wines, try some traditional Albanian food, and took a quick tour of the winery itself. Ilir, our guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and Albanian wine making. He was even able to get us a sample of the “St. Michael’s” wine straight from the barrel. I would highly recommend!

Amazing wine and food - We were picked up from our hotel on time and were taken to a beautiful winery. The wine was lovely and the food even better, which we enjoyed at our own pace. Our guide Juli was very friendly and shared information about Albania throughout the day in a conversational way which we enjoyed. We even stopped for coffee on the way back.

Unique rich experience - We were a group of friends from the UK, all high executives on our own right and chise to came to Albania for a weekend off. We looked for a reputable agency and Choose Balkans was there to help. An amazing experince with stunning views, formidable traditional food and excquisite wine to taste. Highly recommend.

Wine with a view. - The highlight of our trip! The beauty of the countryside, culture and history was highlighted by our very knowledgable guide, Sokol. Amazing wines, food, and hospitality. I would highly recommend this tour.

Lovely tour if you want a relaxing day! - We were picked up from our tour guide at our hotel in Tirana. We were the only ones on this wine tasting tour which made it a romantic private tour just for us. The tour guide was excellent and very informative about different Albanian grape varieties and wines produced by them. We also tried raki the typical Albanian drink offered to you everywhere you go in Albania, quite strong for my taste but great flavor. We also asked to be stoped to a restaurant for lunch and our tour guide made excellent choice to take us to agrotourism farm with great local foods. All in all a great experience and very well organized. Will love to go back and experience it again

Excellent day out - Four of us went for the tour and wine tasting, expected to be there a few hours and had made arrangements to move on. We had a very informative talk and tour, taken down to their lovely restaurant by the lake for the wine tasting, decided to stay and have lunch there but then ran out of time and had to leave but we had the chance to have a boat trip on the lake which was included in the price, so in hindsight a full day here would have been lovely. Excellent day and would definitely recommend to visit and have lunch.
