Highlights
  • Parrish Park - Our guides will take you on a beautiful night time adventure into Bioluminescence on the Indian River Lagoon. You will learn to kayak or paddleboard with our instructors as the sun sets and creates a beautiful palette of pinks, oranges and blues.

We paddle out to horseshoe crab island and watch the sun set on another day in paradise. Explore the island with your group and meet new friends. Take this time to walk on the sand bar to look for wildlife such as horseshoe crabs and bioluminescent comb jellies. Cup the water in your hands and watch the brilliant stars appear! Take a short swim in the bioluminescence and make your own “glow angels”.

After the sun sets, the magic of bioluminescence begins. It’s hard to describe the beautiful colors of bioluminescence. The fish glow an otherworldly blue as they swim below your paddleboard or kayak. It’s an incredibly magical experience.

This experience is 2 hours from start to finish with 1.5 hours of guaranteed time on the water.

Additional Information

8:00pm and 8:30pm Sunset & bioluminescence Tour
While the sun is setting, our friendly guides lead you on an amazing evening clear kayak or paddle board adventure on the Indian River Lagoon. We’ll also hike around Horseshoe Crab Island!

Search for horseshoe crabs and other marine life such as dolphins and manatees as the sun sets.

After sunset, we’ll paddle into the night as dinoflagellates bioluminescence illuminates the water and fish below us.

10:30pm and 11:00pm Bioluminescence & Stargazing
At this launch time, it is very dark and the stars shine bright against the night sky as the bioluminescence glows below us. We recommend downloading a star gazing app and to view the constellations above.

Tours may be delayed up to 1 hour to allow weather to pass

When dinoflagellate bioluminescence season ends, comb jelly bioluminescence season begins! Then, you will also be given high powered multi-colored LED lighting systems for your vessel to further enjoy the glow.

Very informative and fun - Great tour. Visible bioluminescents in the water. Great kayak experience. Wish we saw more sea life and the bioluminescents was brighter but the time of year we went didn't help that. Tour guide was very nice and informative

Bioluminescence tour - Wonderful experience! Bryce, Anna, and Tristan were wonderful. Bryce was our lead, and did great! Very knowledgeable. All three were very patient, and well organized. Definitely recommend for all levels of experience, including beginner! Ana made sure no person was left behind.

Poor visibility - I have done a few of these tours in other places and this one was my least favorite. The urban glow is so bright that you could really only see the bioluminescence in the cove on the other side of the island. The purpose of the trip was to kayak and see it, not play in the water for 15min and kayak back in the dark. The guides Savannah and Gavin were great and I realize that the lights are out of their control. I would suggest going south under the bridge where there is less light pollution to make this tour more successful, at least on nights where the bioluminescence is less visible.

Welp - The overall experience was pretty under whelming. The staff was good however the smell of the jackets, paddles did not suit kayaks, no wavier for other kayakers was required and a few other things were lacking. Its seems like a solid company just needs to improve. The office staff was really great and they do return phone calls!!

Not as seen in picture - The bioluminiscence was not as in the pictures, it was very noticeable and white not blue. I understand that it is nature and the time of year affects this, however the people paying for this should be informed. My daughter was very disappointed and she could not see anything, i looked more like the sand being moved when walking in the water. The staff was indeed very friendly and professional.

DO NOT TAKE THE TOUR WITH BRYCE - We were a group of 6 people and the tour guide was AWFUL, he made us miss out the island tour claiming we were late but we were in the kayak by 8:32 for the 8:30 tour not only that “Bryce” was EXTREMELY rude as the tour was about to end he was yelling at us to put our gear back and coming to the photos part he has not uploaded a single good picture specifically of my group all of them are either blue or distorted. Just wanted to put this out here so anyone else doesn’t waste their money here.

Heartbroken - There was no bioluminescent or light at all in the water. There were no animals. It was just a bunch of people partying. The tour guides were nice. Overall don't waste your time or money. Not worth it
