• Villa Adriana - Hadrian’s Villa at Tivoli (Skip-The-Line Tickets Included) is another Italian UNESCO World Heritage Site. Commissioned by Emperor Hadrian, the Villa is a monumental complex that still showcases the grandeur and immense power of Ancient Rome. The magnificent Hadrian’s Villa (Villa Adriana), once the holiday retreat of Emperor Hadrian, was constructed in the 2nd century AD. It resembles a small village more than a modern-day home. Hadrian’s Villa comprised over 30 buildings, spanning at least 1 square kilometer (approximately 250 acres), much of which remains unexcavated. The Villa was the most significant Roman example of an Alexandrian garden, recreating a sacred landscape. The complex included palaces, several baths, theaters, temples, libraries, staterooms, and quarters for courtiers, praetorians, and slaves.
