- Bimmah Sinkhole - Located in Dabab village, 113 KM from Muscat. There are various stories behind the formation of the sinkhole. Local inhabitants have a legendary story that a meteorite fell in this location, as its name in Arabic “Hawiyat Najam” translates to “The Falling Star.” However, scientific research conducted by experts and geologists has confirmed that the crater was formed as a natural consequence of the interaction of dissolving limestone, which contains carbonate, with water, resulting in the collapse of the earth’s upper crust layer.

Great tour - Said was a great guide with local knowledge of the area. He had hilarious stories for us and had a fun time with us. Highly recommend. He led us through the Wadi and all the swimming pools and we had a great time!

Wadi Shab - Our guide Nasser was fantastic! We had an amazing time at Wadi Shab. Stunning place. The swimming in the canyon was the highlight of our trip.

Very nice - Nice day trip in Wadi Shab and our guide Nasser was very helpful. The hike itself is entirely doable, but be ready for the heat and pack your bag accordingly.

Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole tour - Wadi Shab is so unique and beautiful, and being guided by Nasser made our experience even better. He is very hospitable and patient with us as there were 2 seniors in my family. We felt that he took good care of us and we don’t doubt his service as a tourguide. I recommend going to any Wadi’s with a tourguide as it can be challenging (in the route) if done individually. Definitely choose Nasser-he’s the man for the job.
