Fantastic Tour!!! - Incredible tour with the best guide in Oman! We went for three tours with Jamal over the course of our trip. The city and Nizwa/Aljabal mountains tours were phenomenal but this was the pick of the bunch. Jamal was a phenomenal guide throughout - super knowledgeable and just one of the nicest people you will ever meet (and a great cliff jumper!). Couldn’t recommend this more highly!!!! If you ever in Oman reach out to GidOman and ask for Jamal.

He showed us secret spots and helped everyone who needed assistance. Wadi Shab is a real gem, it is so beautiful that everyone should see it.

Great tour guide & Wadi Shab, an amazing place to visit in Oman - Our tour guide and driver Abdulrahman was absolutely amazing. Timings kept well, clear about stops and timing. He drives steadily at the optimum speed, with a brief stop at a grocery store where we can get the swimming supplies at reasonable price. Not all are good swimmers but he was very professional to corral the group to ensure no one was left behind. We were the first party to get pick-up and the first party to get drop-off, I find this arrangement amazing and fair. I highly recommend this day tour if you are interested in hiking (not too challenging indeed!) and swimming. Wadi Shab was the highlight of my trip.

Well worth it! - Jamal was super helpful and knowledgable. The day was somewhat tiring but worth it. If you can’t swim and tread water, make sure to rent a life jacket for 5 USD. There is quite a bit of swimming but there are rest stops every 3-5 minutes. Take swimwear. And appropriate water shoes. Or buy some on the way. The hike is 6/10 on challenge scale with good footwear and takes around 45 minutes. Well worth it. Also there is a cave you can swim through: entrance is as narrow as the width of your head. If you are claustrophobic then you can stay back and enjoy the swim. This is at the end of the swim. So you won’t miss anything else by not going in to the cave. Go during November or December for mild weather around 30 degrees Celsius. And plenty water.

Good! Recommend! - It is a very nice trip, full of interesting parts: minivan trip, canyon walking, swimming, lunch, visit to Bimmah. Guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to help. Many thanks! The tour could be improved though by the following suggestions: - some brief information about Oman and the areas visited: offered during the minivan trip; - longer rest time in the canyon (+15 mins); - longer time for the lunch (+15 mins); - longer time for Bimmah (+30 mins); Thus, the entire tour would be rather of 9-10 hours instead of 8-9 as it currently is, but it would be more memorable, from my point of view.

nice experience - Decided to travel to Oman two days before our flight and we are glad we did. Amazed at how beautiful Oman is and how humble their people are. Wadi Shab was beautiful but we were not physically ready to trek and swim. The activity was quite rushed and we were hurrying to get to the falls. Half of the people from the group did not make it and decided to wait for those who went. Life vests must be provided for those who could not swim so they can enjoy as well. We stayed at the sinkhole for only 30 minutes. Just enough for you to go down and see it.
