Wadi Shab - The tour begins in the morning as the group departs from Muscat towards Wadi Shab. This vast canyon gorge is adorned with palm trees and showcases the impressive power of water descending from the mountains. After a 35 to 40-minute walk and hike through the canyon (walking shoes are necessary), participants arrive at a crystal-clear water pool. Visitors can swim through the warm waters from one pool to another, eventually reaching the final pool. Here, an opening among the massive rocks allows for a swim into an incredible crevice cave with a small waterfall. Inside, sunlight filters in, turning the water a stunning turquoise blue, while water cascades down one side of the cave from the Wadi beyond. After enjoying time at Wadi Shab, lunch is served at a local restaurant.
-
Fins Beach - Following lunch, the tour makes a stop at Fins Beach, also known as White Sands Beach. This location offers a panorama of strikingly white sands and a fascinating pebbly beach, with sparkling turquoise waters and a gentle, cool breeze.
-
Bimmah Sinkhole - From White Sands Beach, the tour proceeds to Bimmah Sinkhole, where swimming in the sinkhole lake is possible. Bimmah Sinkhole is a water-filled depression, structurally a sinkhole, in the limestone of eastern Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The lake, with its turquoise waters, measures 50 m by 70 m wide and is approximately 20 m deep. It is located about 600 m from the sea, between the coastal towns of Dibab and Bimmah village. The sinkhole was formed by the collapse of the surface layer due to the dissolution of the underlying limestone. To preserve the sinkhole, the local municipality has developed a park in the area.
