Definitely worth it for first timers. - Rin was very sweet & flexible. We covered a lot of territory, glad I took this tour as I am a first timer. Only issue was I had to pay for Rin’s transportation, which I was unaware of. Tour company should make that clear prior to booking. Not a big deal but it would be nice to know before hand.

An Authentic Glimpse of Tokyo in Just One Day - I had a great 8-hour walking tour with Taka in Tokyo. He’s truly a local and offered a lot of thoughtful insights into the temples, shrines, parks, and neighborhoods we visited. I appreciated how he tailored the tour to my interests and pointed out things I would’ve easily missed on my own.
By the end of the day, I felt like I had a real glimpse of the whole of Tokyo—not just the sights, but the spirit of the city too. It was a relaxed and enriching experience.
If you want more than just a sightseeing checklist—if you want to experience Tokyo through the eyes of someone who knows and loves the city—Taka is the guide you’re looking for!

Best guide - Aya is amazing. She will cater a personalized itinerary and work with last minute likes as they come up. She was more than happy to make as many stops as we needed as we saw different areas in Tokyo. She connected so well with my family. My teenage girls loved her energy and knowledge. She was showing us around more like she was a friend than a tour guide.
Definitely a 10/10 experience.

Do it. - While the weather wasn't great in the early morning (it snowed/rained), we were able to have a few hours in the afternoon with clear skies! Our tour guide didn't miss a beat! She was fun, helpful, and now our best friend!! We had a great time. Definitely recommended!

Amazing Tour Guide - Taka, our incredible tour guide, led us on an unforgettable journey through Tokyo. With a warm and upbeat personality, he shared personal anecdotes and provided fascinating insights into the city’s rich culture and history. In just four hours, we covered a lot of ground, from the serene Meiji Jingu Shrine to the vibrant streets of Harajuku.
At Meiji Jingu Shrine, Taka explained the significance of Shintoism and the intricate rituals we observed, such as bowing upon entering. He also regaled us with tales of the shrine’s history and the surrounding area. From there, we headed to Harajuku, where Taka regaled us with tales of the area’s unique attractions and pointed out hidden gems that we wouldn’t find back home.
One such gem was a shop where we could pay to sit and pet miniature pigs—a truly unique and enjoyable experience. Our trip’s primary objective was to support our beloved Dodgers as they faced off against the Cubs in the Tokyo series. While exploring Harajuku, we stumbled upon a pop-up site selling team merchandise, but unfortunately, it was only accessible by reservation.
To our delight, Taka used his exceptional skills to secure our spot, involving a bit of maneuvering through a complex website to obtain our pass. After some shopping, Taka took my daughter and wife to a Purikura shop, where they transformed into their favorite manga characters through elaborate picture booths. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience, laughing their way through the photo process.
Next, we made our way to the iconic Shibuya Crossing, where Taka not only guided us across but also suggested the best spots for capturing memorable photographs. Afterward, we ventured to the upscale PARCO shopping mall, where we indulged in a variety of shopping experiences, including a massive Pokémon Center store and a Nintendo store.
Taka’s efforts extended to securing a private room for us at a tempura restaurant within the mall. As we shared a delicious lunch, Taka once again demonstrated his exceptional skills, ensuring that our experience was nothing short of exceptional.
Overall, it was an incredible four hours of brisk walking, brimming with knowledge, pictures, and plenty of smiles. All of this was made possible by our fantastic tour guide, Taka. Before bidding farewell to Taka, he kindly shared the locations of restaurants that we might want to explore. The first one, a ramen restaurant frequented by locals, was authentic and delectable.
Pro Tips: Before meeting with your tour guide, add a Suica card to your mobile wallet and load it with funds before embarking on the tour. This will streamline the process. Remember to carry cash as some places don’t accept any form of card payment.

Best Time in Tokyo - Where to begin… We are a family of four- 2 adults, a teen, and a child and this was our first visit in Japan. We had an absolutely amazing time with our tour guide Shino! She went above and beyond to make our experience fantastic. This tour was the best thing we did in Tokyo. Shino was patient and accommodated our in decisive and last minute itinerary; she was personable with the whole family and engaged with our daughters; and answered questions in a thoughtful response. It felt like she was a long-time friend of the family giving us a tour of Tokyo as opposed to someone we just met. My kids adored her and talked about how “nice and fun” she was. I highly recommend booking this tour if you’re going to Tokyo and want an in-depth experience of the popular and non-popular sights in Tokyo. Both first time visitors and multi-visitors to Tokyo will enjoy this experience. I have already recommended friends and family. Ask for Shino!
