Yokohama port transfer - Very good communication because before the trip. David was prompt in returning my messages and have a very detailed description of it pickup point and how to get there including pictures showing the route to walk after getting off the cruise ship. Van was beautiful and spacious, easily holding 7 people along with our 15 suitcases. Was a bit expensive for a a 25 minute trip but well worth it to avoid the long lines of people waiting for shuttle busses and taxis. Made departure a stress free experience.

Smooth Ride To Yokohama Port - The driver showed up a little before the appointed time and met us exactly where I had requested. There were six of us in a nine person van so we had plenty of space for luggage and ourselves and we welcomed the air conditioning. It was stop and go because of city traffic but once we got on the highway it was smooth sailing to the port.

Convenient booking and easy transfer - Our transfer to our hotel was smooth. This transfer was almost seamless except out driver was planning to drop us off where the car park was rather than up at the entrance to the ship. We had to argue and call to have them take us upstairs. They wanted us to take out kids, luggage and elderly parents and go on our own rather than door to door. In spite of that booking it and the actual drive was smooth. Our family behind us had the same issue but our other family members were dropped off without difficulty so it didn’t make sense. Needless to say I would still use the company because our first transfer was so smooth from the airport.

Beware… read before booking. - I’m writing this review to give awareness to others who may be looking to book the same or similar transfer. The booking process was easy, and the communication with the tour operator was great. We were contacted via WhatsApp and the pickup details were finalized with the operator. We found our driver at the designated area for private transfer passengers. The driver was courteous and helped us load our heavy luggage. She did not speak any English, but we were able to communicate by using our smart phone. After that, things got weird…. Shortly after leaving the cruise terminal area, we were directed by the local police to pull over to the side of the road. We thought that perhaps we were randomly selected for an additional search or questioning. We soon found out that our driver did not hold the proper license to perform the transfer that we had arranged and paid for. Unfortunately, she was placed under arrest and we were questioned and had our statements taken, ultimately delaying our trip by about 2 hours. Luckily, the police officers were extremely polite and professional, and offered to take us with our luggage to our hotel. We had no way of knowing beforehand that our driver wasn’t properly licensed to drive us from the port. I’m not sure how I could’ve done anything different in retrospect to avoid this situation. Going forward, it will become my practice to confirm with the tour operator that the driver assigned has the proper license to complete our ride as planned. I don’t want to deter anyone from booking this transfer, but just felt the need to make others aware of our experience, so that you can avoid going through it yourself.
